Rodney Edenfield, of Localizeit Online, began working with our company, buying links for his clients to increase their search engine rankings. This began in February of 2012 and continued through September of 2014. He bought links for clients like Glass Doctor franchisees, Michaels Consignment, Rebath and a host of other franchise type businesses.
We provided links for his clients for over 2 years until recently when we were contacted by Rodney stating they had cancelled their services with us last year. Oddly enough, we have email communications from Mr. Edenfield stating he was authorizing us to get his accounts going again late 2013 after a couple month pause. Rodney also never informed us of canceling his accounts. We do have login records from them accessing their account this year, which contradicts what he states.
According to AMEX, Rodney Edenfield and others from inside his company, DrivenLocal.com, feel they are not liable for the charges once Rodney's initial company, LocalizeitOnline.com was purchased by DrivenLocal.com. They state that after the finalization of the purchase, we're basically out of luck for them paying for the services they bought through us. This loophole appears to be something business owners try to use to their advantage, hiding behind the card companies and disputing the charges. That leaves innocent merchants to have to pay for the theft companies like this make.
We have a signed contract with Rodney and LocalizeitOnline.com and that should win in our favor because it would then fall on DrivenLocal.com to go after LocalizeitOnline.com to recoup the money they don't feel they owe. That should be interesting since Rodney is a Senior VP of Driven Local now.
I will definitely report back once I hear from AMEX regarding these disputes. Currently, it is up to $18,000 they are trying to dispute. As a broker, we've already paid out for all the services we have provided, so we are not only out the money we've spent, but the money we've earned.
All in all, DrivenLocal.com, LocalizeitOnline.com and Rodney Edenfield...even the CEO of DrivenLocal.com, Kevin Szypula are nothing but a fraudulent outfit that will try to cheat and steal your money from underneath you at any means necessary. They don't care about you or their customers. Stay clear! Or at least don't let them use their credit card because they like to hide behind it.
