I was interested in purchasing an iPhone 6. I contacted the seller through Instagram then by text. I sent the payment through money gram using cash. He received my payment but hasn't contacted me back to let me know what's going on, although the phone won't be shipped until tomorrow, I'm still afraid that I've been scammed.
Do not believe a word anyone says here. From your initial call regarding your resumee, to the information given during the interview, I can assure you it is entirely misleading.
You'll first receive a call from an agency representative saying the hiring manager saw your resumee and would like to discuss your background further (or something similar). When you arrive for the interview, expect to see a waiting room full of other potential interview candidates. The place itself looks nice, newly remodeled, everyone nicely dressed, etc., though something seems off...like no one there has a soul. (I'm being dramatic, but once you're inside and speaking with the employees there, you are unlikely to disagree). You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire, rating yourself and what you believe your best/worst traits are, and what sort of traits are found in leaders.
When you are interviewing with their managers, you will very likely recieve some sort of an ultimatum --- "you will need to make a decision now or next time we see you", and hear a whole lot of talk about how you will deal exclusively with Union Members and their insurance benefits. Easy sales, you make your own hours, huge income potential, etc. etc. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THAT. They will make it sound far, far easier than it is.
In reality, this is the job: Mondays and Thursdays are spent with company meetings from 12pm to 2pm, Sabrina running off who performed the best in the previous week (usually only management), a pep talk to the team, a break from 2pm to 4pm where you have nothing to do (expect to have to pay to get anything to eat in the office from their "snack bar"). 4pm to 9pm is spent calling either 'referrals' from union members (i.e. people who have NO idea who you are or why you're calling, essentially cold calling with the exception that you claim to know a friend or relative of theirs), or lukewarm union members themselves, who are generally suspicious of why you're calling them in the first place. And guess what? YOU USE YOUR OWN PHONE. The company does not spend a DIME on any of their employees. These hours are spent "booking" appointments with these confused referrals and suspicious union members for the remaining days during the week.
More than 70% of the time, your appointments will not show. The ones that do will likely refuse any business with you. You will spend 8 hours of a 10 hour day driving to meet your appointments, those that do show up will be struggling to make an income. Your manager will insist you work 6-7 days a week to be succesful. You are pitted against co-workers and other teams. Expect to drive 100k miles or more per year.
You are not cared for as an individual. You are not invested in by the company. You are expendable. You are a cog in every sense of the word.
Flee from this place. I promise you, you will never look back in regret.
