Worst experience ever! I went to his office ( hair salon) that had his name plastered in ever room. I thought that was a bit much. Put in one room to wait. Then put in another room. I went to get my nose checked out. He looked up my nose for a second if that!!! I don't care if he's busy . I want him take his time and look at me and let me know what he thinks. Having a surgery and being hurt is a scary thing!!! If someone going be cutting up in me and doesn't even give me the time of day. I don't care how good of docter he thinks he is. But, he needs change his way of dealing with people. Also I am sitting in the middle of a HAIR SALON!!! He does his surgeries in the back of a hair salon. i felt like i was on a bad episode of Nip Tuck!!! NOT PERSONABLE AT ALL! Next I have several questions. He rushs through them and keeps saying I will get some lady in his office to go over the pricing. He didn't take his time with me at all in any way!!! Then one of his workers just walks in says nothing to us. I don't know if this is the lady he said was going to talk to me. How rude doesn't say oh excuse me I am putting some tools away. I have to ask who are you. Then she says her name and makes no conversation with me. I thought that was very unprofessional. I was just a number for Dr. Ress. Also, he obviously doesn't like being asked questions. He thinks he knows everything. Obviously, doesn't care about people. If I come to someone and I am hurt and need a surgery. I want someone that takes there time with me.
I will start out by saying maybe its just a Mans perspective but here is what my own experience was.
Complete Fail from the moment I walked into the office, and only to get worse. I was asked to come in a hour early for my appointment . they had an opening but only to wait 90 minutes in a packed waiting area with no seating and a seemingly uncaring staff. I have been to a few consultations and this by was the most uncaring experience i have ever been to. In and out given a price and that's was it. To top it off i get an email a month later explaining how pleased they were to see me and how some other procedure is there specialty, which i would be offended by but i was not because i realized it was just par for the course. Clearly this company is poorly run. The only saving grace was the girl at the front desk was attractive.
One thing that stuck out in my mind, was the location is inside a Hair Salon! I dont understand how a crediible surgeon could do surgery inside a hair salon and expect people to take him seriously.
Overall a bad experience and I would not recommend this place

So glad to see i'm not alone in my regret/disappointment w/ this place! wish i'd read some of these & the 'filtered' ones earlier!
Honestly i've been lil weary of writing this since *they watch this site* they even made up flyers that say "give us a good review on yelp and google reviews!" & actually hand them to you & tell you to on your way out! seriously! very unorganic & really says alot i think now looking back Though they didn't do that until my last followup visit here about a 18 mo. Ago).
I had "smart"lipo *twice* because 1st time didn't make a huge difference. But guess what? The 2nd time it didn't either & it hurt like a m*therf*cker! 2x and counting: apparently i'm allowed to go back for more free surgeries until i'm happy w/ it which is nice on paper but judging on his attitude while having to do it over and the way he dug in there differently than the 1st time *harder* w/ more ~blood coming out~ and hardly any fat, i swear he seemed mad at my skin! and just wanted to do it extra hard so that he wouldn't have to do it/see me ever again.
Accordingly even though i suppose i could go back a 3rd time and 4th, etc. Again- the girl said 'for the rest of your life' & again looking back- not a great vote of confidence!) but since he hasn't got it right 2 times & the 2nd time was so much worse than the 1st it's like
'fool me once..
Oh & i have scars + instead of enough of the fat i now have hard, hard to get rid of *scar tissue* in there! granted i am a slow healer and scar easy but still sucks! that reminds me- when i said that him and his lady friend From the mother county!) yelled at me cuz i didn't "massage". No joke i honestly heard them say that but because of their accent i couldn't understand half of what they were saying & thought they said 'message'!)
Anyway, like i said i don't think i'll be back but i'm sure after writing this i probably wouldn't be welcome anyway since the phony-but-nice girls probably have to report this to dr ress. Even if not though- like i said unless i want more blood taken *i'm over it*! i'm burning my bridges here i guess, but it feels good to let it out! sure he's an ok guy, but obviously liposuction isn't his strong suit.
he took my "before" pictures but even w/ the 2nd surgery and follow ups he never took my "after" pictures!~
Mercy star for the small difference *but* it's been 2 years since then and i've lost some weight so it's really hard to know whether it was this or just me. It bothers me every day cuz really i'll never know and i went and popped my plastic cherry here for nothin'. Basically i chalk it up to a bad time in my life where i had a buncha cash. Like i didn't even check him at all really- just did it. Hopefully this helps someone else cuz even if you're rich like i was: it's not worth it.
I would not recommend Dr. Andrew Ress to my worst enemy! I had surgery on my wrist. When the bandages were removed three days later, the surgery site looked burned and had blisters on it . Weird. My surgery site bled for weeks. I kept going back every week with blood and fluid leaking from the surgery site. I had severe pain every single day! I still do. When I saw Dr. three days after my surgery and told him I was in severe pain, he said " I used to practice on dogs when I was in medical school, and the dogs would never complain after surgery". I was baffled and didnt know what to say to his response to my pain. My surgery was months ago, it is healed, but severly scarred and numb in several places overall. Not once during my several visits did Dr. ask me how my hand was doing, how my mobility was, pain,loss of strength.. nothing!He would just ask to see the surgery site from across his table, and would say "Ok, Ill see you next month" And at one point, "Ok,, your ready to go back to work"... Only problem was , my hand was completely numb from surgery and i couldnt even pull my pants down on my own to use the bathroom! It seemed he only cared about getting me out and getting paidhis bonus from the wormans comp insurance for sending me back to work. I switched to a better doctor, and he actually pays attention to my well-being and recovery. Please do your research and go somewhere better and where the doctors are properly trained.
