On 4/16/15, I purchased a lot of 4 Samsung Note 2 N7100 cell phones in a auction listing on liquidation.com for over $600. The phones were listed as "Grade A Refurbished", which I was fine with. I make a living buying and selling online, so I am no stranger to refurbished items. After receiving the phones, not only were there items missing, but I discovered they were indeed clones or counterfeits. According to the website, it is common for refurbished phones to arrive with missing accessories, and I am aware of this. However, they are not what was described in the auction listing. In the description, they were listed at 5.5" screens with 16GB memory. The phones I received have 5.25" screens and only 12GB memory, which was a huge red flag. The phones were also missing accessories, were not the correct size and shape , had hardware installed that did not match Samsung specifications and even had hacked serial numbers, which I confirmed with Samsung customer support.
I also took the phones to my local AT&T store and the manager tested them for functionality. The conclusion was the same; cloned cell phones.
So, after receiving them and finding out they were fake, I filed a dispute through the website the next day and submitted photographic evidence as requested. I also filed a Paypal claim as well because I used them to process the transaction. Today, just 3 later, I was informed by liquidation customer support that my claim was denied. Just based on the screen size and hardware discrepancies alone, there should have been no problem with me being issued a refund on a "Not as described" basis. I find it extremely immoral that this company will not process my refund after all the evidence I have sent them. Liquidation.com Has a notorious track record for siding with sellers, and I wish I would have known that before I purchased from their website. The same seller I purchased the phones from, is still on their site selling fakes, one just has to look at the pictures of the phones to tell they are fake. Sadly, I was not aware of the differences until after I placed my order.
Also, to add to my frustration, I went to liquidation.com and tried to log into my account and was blocked, with a message telling me to call customer service. After calling, I was connected to a rather rude woman who told me that they could reinstate my account if I cancelled the PayPal dispute and signed an electronic agreement to never file another dispute of any kind with Paypal as long as I was a member of the site. Before I refused, I informed the operator how dishonest I thought it was and asked for her name...I was quickly dismissed and hung up on! At this point, I am taking every legal recourse I can muster in order to obtain my money back and also decided to come here and register my complaint as well as report them to the FTA and BBB. There a many similar complaints found online about liquidation.com and it boggles the mind how a company with such dishonest business practices is still in the marketplace. A class action suit needs to be filed against this company! Don't do business with these criminals! They knowingly let dishonest sellers peddle their garbage and give the buyer no recourse to complain, and when you do, they threaten you with account closure! I will be posting this everywhere online!
I BOUGHT TWO AUCTIONS WENT THROUGH THE PICTURES VERY BEUATIFUL HANDBAGS AND NIGHTGOWNS AND NOTE EXPLAINED VERY HIGH QUALITY HAND BAGS RETAILS FOR 30-50$ EACH WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY WHERE CHINA MATERIAL OK THAT FINE BUT THE PRODUCT IT SELF WAS NOT EVEN WORTH 1$. SECOND ORDER WAS BRASS LOOKED BEAUTIFUL IN PICTURES THEY SAID ONLY SIZING WAS WRONG BUT WHEN THEY ARRIVED STICHING MISSING UNRAVELED, I WAS SO EMBARRESSED OF THESE DELIVERIES THAT I OPTED TO NOT EVEN SHOW THEM TO THE BUYERS. AKA ILL SEND PICS IF REQUESTED (((email redscted)))
I should have known better than to use some company like this. I purchased 100 dresses that were suppose to be high-end. When I recieved the box it had 4 dresses that were pretty nice (Probably the ones in the picture.) and 96 dresses that were used and smelled like smoke.
i have a small store in St. Louis MO and cannot afford to just throw my money away at clothing I wouldn't even donate to goodwill.
i have used liquidation companies in the past and have found a few great ones. ( TRX liquidators, LiquidationGeneral.com, AML Liquidators and so on) I wish I would have stayed with them and never purchased from Liquidation.com.
I hope this review saves a few people from making the mistake I did.
I am a 55 year old male, 100% disabled and living on Social Security. My wife has a little business selling goods on the internet. I saw a bunch of listings on Liquidation.com for sports memorabalia. Autographed 8x10 photos and some footballs as well. All were described as genuine with Certificates of Authenticity. I had almost 2000.00 saved and I managed to win 10 auctions. They were advertised as having 2 Thurman Munson autographed 8x10s with COAs, Mickey Mantle, Joe Montana and I could go on and on. Any way when the boxes came and I got a good look at the so-called Mantle signature I laughed out loud . It was ludicrous. I sent 13 pieces of this so called memorabilia out to PSA in Newport,CA. The top authenticator in the country. They charged me 540.00 to tell me every single signature was forged and every single COA was counterfeit. I could not believe it. I was a long time Liquidation.com customer so I figured they would do the right thing. Boy was I wrong. I filed ten disputes and made a few calls to them. Every person I got on the phone was ruder than the next. They told me to send them some sample of the phony merchandise. So I spend another 26.00 on postage and send them the 13 pieces plus some 8x10s that were clear forgeries as well as the letters from PSA. Now they just got that merchandise today, July 18th, and they already sent me 10 emails denying every single dispute after "careful consideration". So I am now broke and out 2400.00 to them and another 540.00 to find out for sure that I got scammed. To further prove Liquidation.com's absolute apathy toward what I told them, the phony memorabilia is still being sold on their site. Do you need further proof that they just do not care if their customers get ripped off? This is not the first time I got ripped off by them either. the last time I filed a Paypal dispute against them and they blocked my account so I could not get at my information. I expect they will do the same now so I have made copies of everything first. I would have accepted even a partial refund from them but they were not about to give up a single dime. I know they figure since they have all the money that I will just allow them to steamroll right over me. I intend to be the David that stands up to this Goliath. Caveat emptor friends. Especially when dealing with Liquidation.com. Thomas F W
Please read this as well as all the others before you buy from this company. I buy wholesale a lot and sell at the swap meet. Trust me, I know Liquidation.com looks good, and inviting, and you think you will make money reselling items described, but reality is, once you click the BID NOW button and you win, you just as well have thrown your money out the window. I bought some stuff from them that were "A" grade store returns. The manifest pictures showed tickets that showed items were tested and working, with cords, manuals, and again "A" grade. I paid 1200 for 6 50'' led /lcd tvs and they were all broken and NOT working. No cords or manuals. They all looked as if they were kicked around before literally thrown into a box. One looked as if it had been dragged under a forklift over gravel. I brought them to a local tv repair man and he felt really bad for me but his bill to fix each one would of cost the same as buying a new one. I tried to file a dispute which was responded to with "more documentation needed" so I sent them the required pictures of the damaged items along with a video. I then received a blanket email saying dispute was denied. I couldn't believe it. I have tried to delete my account but thus far been unable to at this time. These people don't care about you and please don't think (that won't happen to me) because it will. Save your money and personally go inspect your product prior to buying. If you live in Los Angeles I found a great place to buy wholesale through viatrading.com.
You can actually go to the place and purchase and pick up your items that youve inspected. Don't trust Liquidation.com to do you right. If you do you will remember this post and say, I wish I had listened to that guy. Think how many small 1 to 3 dollar items I had to sell to get 1200 to buy those tv's? That's at least 3 swap meet days worth to get that capital investment back all to be thrown away? Liquidation.com sells JUNK. Period. They screwed me over and offered no course of resolution. I am writing my congressman as well as this company commits fraud 1000 x's a day and so far gets away with it.
