LipoG3 advertised a free sample offer on Facebook. I should have known better, but I thought I would use this opportuinity to try Garcinia Cambogia. which seems so popular these days. I clicked on the link for my "free" bottle. I was instructed to enter my credit card number to pay for shipping. I was supicious when the product arrived with an ureadalbe ingredient label. Moreover, the bottle looked nothing like the bottle on the website. I took one pill per day for four days and felt sick, fatigued and irritable. I put the bottle in the cabinet and forgot about it.
I came home from work yesterday to another shipment. I then checked my credit statement on and noticed that I had been charged 89.99 twice, once for the first shipment and once for shipment number two. I then googled the company and found a terms and condictions page stating that if the first shipement was not returned within 14 days, the customer would be billed $89.99 and enrolled in an autoship program. These terms were not included anywhere in the original offer. When I called the company and complained about the hidden terms and said I wanted to to return both bottles, I was told it was too late to return the first one (past 30 days), but that they would refund me for the second one when I mailed it back with tracking. Both charges were on the same stateement, so I would have no way of knowing about the first one within 30 days of placing my order. The person I spoke with offered to waive the $15 restocking fee for the bottle they would accept. I had mentioned to the company representative that I was an attorney. When I said I could not afford to pay for pills I could not use, the representative said that if I was an attorney, $90 was chump change. I was extremely angry and offended. I am thinking of disputing the price of the first bottle through my credit card company.
This company has unconscionable practices and operates on just this side of the law. I would love to see them go out of business.
I agree That this company does not treat people right!
Unfortunately I tried to cancel and got talked in to it for a better price. Well I have bottles here that I haven't even opened because I didn't care for the product. Now I have canceled but I am still being charged for this month. I am unhappy with how they rip people off. It is really sad. I wouldn't mind them going out of business too. They are not getting any of my money after this. Best wishes to anyone else trying it! I hope you read the fine print and watch what you are being charged.
