I'm a former employee of LinkTech also known as all the other names above especially their new DBA Global Net Media. I'm here to first appologize for ever working for such a corrupt and horrible company. I did not know all the horrible and sometimes illegal things they do to get their sales. I worked in retention and strived to help you guys get free things and make things work better. Once I learned of some very illegal and horrible things I started to write a resignation letter. They had always used my ideas to help you guys and never gave me credit. Then they fired me over a joke. Well...here is how you get rid of them and cancel your account, get your money back etc. So listen up! For your own sakes...listen up!
Here are some things you should know about this company:
1. They use an auto dialer. They were warned by the FCC to stop but instead they found a loophole and now they use a push button system with the auto-dialer. Some lawyer told them that is legal but it isn't.
2. They bid extremely low on your adds. I had a friend in the add department. Told me everything. The reason your add isn't online is beacuse they aren't paying enough for you to be up there on the front page. Yep. They are cheap.
3. THEY WILL NOT BUILD YOUR SITE FOR YOU! This is a lie that the sales team tells you. I fought for the entire time I was there to have that included in the sales script or the welcome call that you need to put homes and a search on your page. They wont. Why? They want it to not work for you for a couple months and to blame that on you. DONT BUY IT!
3. YOUR ADDS ARENT MOBILE! More and more people are using mobile phones. But they won't tell you your adds aren't mobile. This made me mad too when I found out.
4. The number they quote you is just how many people typed in that phrase, not how many people click on it. Think about it. Nobody clicks on these things...or at least...not that many people.
1. If you are calling to cancel your account STAY ON THE LINE until you reach an account manager. If you don't they won't cancel and may charge you again. If they try to put you on overflow it is bs! Don't fall for it! They will call you after 3 or 5 in a lot of cases and if you are on the East Coast you will miss their call and they will log it as you not answering your phone and charge you! Stay on the line and cancel NO MATTER WHAT!
2. If it is your billing date and you call in to cancel and they have charged you SAY YOU WILL DISPUTE! HOLD YOUR GROUND! If they say it is a valid bill IT ISNT! This company has recently been put on warning by the FCC for using an autodialer and they continued using it even after they were warned to stop. They have a policy of refunding clients the same day if they threaten to dispute. So hold your ground, hang up if you have to. They have to legally cancel you if you hang up and don't agree to continue and they will void your charge and refund you or your bank will because more and more banks are learning about them.
3. If you haven't done business with them yet and don't believe me RECORD THE SALES CALL. You may need it later. They don't record sales calls anymore and their sales people promise things that are ILLEGAL. Google states you can't promise someone the first placement on Google only the first page. I was very upset about this when I learned salesman at this company WILL SAY ANYTHING and the company DOESNT CARE as is evident by the fact they DONT RECORD SALES CALLS.
3. If you are past due DO NOT PAY! When you cancel they will simply forgive the debt. They don't take you to collections. I'm serious. They don't have in house or outside collections. THEY WILL NOT PURSUE THE DEBT.
4. You will need an IDX which costs a lot of money to use this service. You may not even be able to get it. Its the property search they use. Their Real Bird free version sucks and I doubt they have the commercial use permit they should have to use it on their sites. Working on that...
5. Tell everyone you know including your broker about these people. Have them send a chainmail. Nobody should do business with them.
I'm so sorry I couldn't warn everyone sooner. They keep things very seperate in office. They lie a lot. They stole all kinds of ideas including my Facebook plan from me. They are evil. DO NOT do business with them. Thanks!
