I ordered their anti aging cream this morning on a 30 day free trial. Only charge was supposed to be for shipping and handling. Web page said no charge to credit card until 30 day trial was up.
I live chatted with an individual from the company and explained that even if I liked their product I would have to return product before 30 day trial was up as I cannot afford $189 for skin cream at this time. I was told not to worry that they would not charge me until 30 days from now and that when I go to return product they would offer me a better deal.
Just a couple of hours after ordering I went in my bank for a totally different transaction and found that they already had a hold on the funds on my credit card. I went home and called the company to stop shipment and take charges off my credit card. They have a message and the first thing on it is not to be alarmed about credit card charges showing up, they will be dropped in 3 days and that they do this to prevent fraud. I believe they are the ones committing fraud. It is right there in writing that you will not be charged and that is the first thing they do. BEWARE
I am waiting for verification that charges have been reversed.
Life Cell skin care advertised a free trial sample of product and all I had to pay was shipping, then this company billed my credit card for 189.00 I ordered the free trial sample in Feb 2014 advertised on thier website at that time. All I had to do it said was pay the shipping which I did.I received the trial sample and I thought the smell was odd. I went online to research reviews on the product. I quickly found out that there were many complaints about LifeCell charging customers for the free trial sample. I immediately emailed them on Feb 26, 2014 the day I received the product, stating
" I have received my FREE trial sample of life cell and I paid the shippong charges to receive the trial sample. This is all I will pay as that was the deal you advertised. I just read numerous bad reviews of your company billing consumers more money and/or billing them without authorization and I have contacted my credit card company to be sure no further charges are approved from your company unless I CHOOSE ro order the product myself. With that said I will try your free sample and make my decision to order more if I find the product to work. "
The next statement I received from my credit card shows I was billed 189.00 from LifeCell. I file a dispute with my credit card company which is ongoing. I have since read countless complaints of LifeCell doing the exact same thing over an over again to consumers. People are misled into the FREE trial sample for only shipping charges, They are misled by LifeCell's slogan TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. Now Life cell says to my credit card company I had not returned the product. Well I ordered a FREE TRIAL sample TO TRY. That's what the company wants consumers to do and that's WHY they SEND out the free trial sample. How can anyone return a FREE trial sample they used to TRY? They only sent 1 tube, so I tried it, it didn't do as advertised and I did not order the product. They still billed for the 189.00 even though I had immediately upon receiving the free sample notified them I would not pay anymore for a free trial sample and told them DO NOT charge my card for ANY product unless I ordered it myself if I liked the product. But FIRST I had to TRY it which I did and now they want the free trial sample back and that's not possible because I did exactly what the company says to do on thier website, I tried it.
So either it costs a consumer 189.00 to try a sample or they demand something you no longer have and they bill you 189.00 because you did what they said and tried it and therefore no longer have it TO return. It is consumer fraud at its finest! It is a lose lose situation for the consumer who sends for a free trial sample to try as either way Lifecell is going to scam them out of 189.00. It does not state on thier website what will happen IF the consumer TRIES AND USES the free trial sample and decides the product does not work and does not want anymore of the product. This is a product the company says takes time to work. Well if it still doesn't do what the company claims it will and the sample is gone, obviously a consumer is not going to purchase any product that does not do what it claimed for that person. I notified them immdiately upon receiving the free trial sample do NOT bill me for anything until I decide if I want product or not which they blantantly ignored. I refuse to pay for a free trial sample and its impossible to return a free trial sample that I tried.
