I would agree that President Riekeman has admitted many more students than Life University has the capacity to serve. Classroom space, parking space, working AV equipment, and even clean and well-maintained restroom facilities appear to be lacking in some buildings. This is unconscionable: students deserve to be treated as more than just revenue providers and given the best educational environment possible. And Dr. Riekeman’s insensitivity extends to his own faculty. To offset its own lack of strategic planning, his administration recently took parking away from faculty and staff, forcing them to park at a remote lot 15 minutes away from campus in a questionable area. I was at the school recently to attend classes for a Continuing Education event and was shocked to see how low employee morale had sunk! It was sad for me to learn that because of the parking take-away many of the professors who had volunteered to work that weekend without pay, some of whom I’ve known for over 20 years, had to worry about their own personal safety and family responsibilities, or just being able to start their classes on time. Professors and DCs with local practices are not 9-5 employees but need to maintain flexible hours, and an institution of higher learning is not supposed to be run like Wal-Mart. I can’t say I know President Riekeman well, but his action is totally classless and strays far from the spirit of service I can recall under Dr. Sid Williams.
Life University is an expensive chiroptactic college in which students generally spend upwards of 200,00 dollars over the four years to attend. It advertises being a friendly school which values diversity, integrity , and compassion. They also, like to recruit individual from puerto rico and outside of Georgia who may not know the truth about this University.
The following are facts; Only one out of five students who attend life university graduates. That means out of an average class of 150 students 120 students will not graduate and owe up to 200,00 in debt. The 30 that do graduate will earn an average of only 40 thousand a year intially. Thats if they work ..over half of the 30 cant find jobs within year 1.so, only 15 out of the original 150 students will earn a living.
The school as a long history of racisim. Charges of Anti-semitism, anti.black and anti hispanic acions whether an overall hostility in the atmosphere, harsher penalties if not precieved to make the grade and being given lower grade in subjective classes are the norm. Indeed, the president is rumored o have said, ""we tolerate minorities only because we have too inorder to get federal funding""
Some faculty, have been asked to fail students,,,they have been fired when they have refused.most classes have a fail rate of 60-70 percent, This geenrates millions of dollars by the students having to repeat classes..
Additionally, dont fall behing in your tuition they will not hesitate to have security march you off campus.
Life is currently under federal investigation for criminal offenses of altering grades, abusing federal student loans, and conspiracy to deprive individuals of the consittuitonal rights and sex for grades. I witnessed much of this.
Worse of all much of the faclty is incompetent and not qualified to teach the classes they have.
Life has deprived me and others of our money under false pretences.The schoolis a scam.Only a fool would attend. It might be you next as they accept every one who applies/ Doesnt this sound fishy to you?
