Last year we bought a home and it required a great deal of work and at the advice of an agent I reached out to
Liberty Mutual for a quote. After hearing the quote and finding that someone would have to come out to inspect
the house I instructed the agent that I would have to wait until after I finished the work before starting the policy because I needed to install the exterior windows. She told me if I did not get insurance that day that I would
have a lapse in policy. I instructed her that I my house was paid for and she insisted that if I did not get the
insurance if I did get insurance it would be more that double than what had been quoted. I signed an e document and went about my way to work on the house. In April I filed a claim and found that I had a $5,000 deductible
across the board by the claims agent Barry Sharon. I did everything I was instructed to do to resolve the situation and still all I got is nothing. After trying I seeked out assistance from the corporate office in which I had been
instructed had been notified and they had not heard anything and took information and did an investigation or
so they claim and then called and I insisted that they listen to the calls and I was instructed that out of the 7
customer service calls they only could hear 3. I informed Liberty (that was her name) that this was unacceptable
and that I want mediation and she was nonchalant and it sounded as she was reading from a script. I want to file to have my money returned and have this included among the complaints against Liberty Mutual. I also would to know what other actions can I pursue since I entered into this contract under duress.
I was ripped off by Liberty Mututal I was quoted a rate and accepted and singed up for automatic payment After a about a year they renewed my policy without notifing me and took the money out of my checking account when i checked my account my rate had doubled I called them up to ask why they said no reason this is just copmany policy. so I went on line and went with another insurance company one I had used before got an exellent rate So I called Liberty to cancel and get a refund They never sent me a refund but I reicvied a bill for 30 dollars which i refuse to pay now they are in collections I plan to report them to my states insurace department for allegations of fraud STAY AWAY FROM LIBERT MUTUAL
