I went to the shop to see how much I could get for an old coin given to me by a friend. After an hour of the manager scrutinizing the coin with an eye piece, doing scratch test and looking at eBay, he told me it's worth about 300 on eBay and can give me 60. I accepted it because I am unemployed, and 60 dollars would at least help me with groceries. That same evening I told my friend what I did with the coin he had given me. He could not believe the pawn shop only gave me 60 dollars. He shows me the purchase reciept and authenticity paperwork. He purchased for 1600 and per eBay which the pawnbroker looked at it today goes for 1800 dollars. The very next morning I went to see him with this documentation knowing dam well he knew what it was worth. Just took me for a sucker. He told me he can't do anything until after 30 days per Florida law. I asked after 30 days can I buy it back. He laughed at me but did say he would contact the owner after 30 days. I returned on the 30th day..he stated the owner is a very busy man with several locations, and hasn't returned his call. I asked for the owners cell so I could speak with him, he laughed at me and declined. Obviously, beyond a reasonable doubt, Richard was aware of what the value of the coin was, but he was deceitful. Took advantage of my stupidity .never had any intention of letting me buy back or pay a fair price to compensate for the 60 dollars on an 1800 item, which he verified on eBay but did not pass on to me. I had given him my phone number to contact me weeks ago. I have heard nothing. Levi's Pawn shops are deceitful and liars. I have also contact a major news station considering to do a shame on you report on their local news station. I also enlisted over 35 people from the neighborhood to protest in front of both their neighborhood stores the days the news team does the story. If they don't have to do anything legally, or morally, I am hoping to educate others on the danger of us ring Levs Pawnshop locations anyplace u on the United States
