I purchased 4 new tires from Les Shwab and after only a few miles I had a flat. I had just worked a 8 hour day and had to walk a few miles to a pay phone. I called the dealer and they REFUSED to help me! I had to call a tow truck and pay him out of my own pocket! I will never shop there again, and my friends, family, and co-workers have all canceled their accounts!
When to Les Schwab for routine allignment and wheel balance. Returning again 2 weeks later due to continuing low tire pressure in two of the wheels. Rt front and lft rear. After replacing two value stems they returned the vechile to me. Driving home at less than highway speed at appox. 62 miles per hour the right wheel came off my car. Causing the vechile to rear up and spin on it's nose several times slamming into a snow embankment the rear tire was found three quarters of a mile from where the car came to rest. It had gone across the highway in a nose spin facing the opposite direction from where I was traveling. The accident damaged the vechile behond Les Schwab's desire to repair it. I sustained injuries to left knee right shoulder and rist and my spine C-7. Les Schwab after two attempts, to repair the vehicle stop all commication stating I needed an attoney to communicate any further with Les Schwab. Two years without a vehicle with three injuries in addiction to my disabilites, having to move to differet locations and still no doctor, I filed my complaint one day before the statue deadline. Without an attoney. I am going against Les Schwab's attoney's, because, holding Les Schwab accountable is what doing the right thing means to me. That's my Les Schwab Story!
Employee Dale the assistant store manager promised to do a job and quaranteed he had the proper equipment and knowledge to complete the work in a timley and professional manner. Neither were true, didn't have the proper tools or employess that could do the job. Told him to stop what he was doing after employee wanted to go home and get a tool that might work. Took the vehicle off the rack and I paid for the materials and Dale was extremely mad when I checked out. Later that day after I was out of the vehicle I noticed 6 dents in the side of the vehicle that he was working on 3 from a backhand leaving knuckle dents and 3 from hammer slamming with a fist leaving additional dents. I reported it to their claims dept. and they talked to Dale and of course he denied it. Who would have guessed that not admitting to taking out rage and vandalizing a customers vehicles. Will never do business wioth Les Schwab again their liars and thiefs as far as I'm concerned and make up stuff along the way to mcover their butts.
I had the repairs done by a paintless dent removal company for $180.00 had a bid for $800.00 for conventional dent removal and painting. But it didn't make any difference to Les Schwab.
This is the 1st time I every posted and complaints for any company but the irritated me so much I had to make a statement.
There's pleant of companies that compete with Les Schwab so maybe next time consider giving them the business.
By the way Dale you know your a liar and so do I keep it up it will catch up to you someday.
My wife had a flat tire fixed by this Les Schwab location a while ago. I was driving her car and got a flat - different tire. I went to put the emergency spare on and the anti-theft wheel bolt adapter was missing. I called the Les Schwab location where my wife had a wheel taken off...between then and now the wheels had never been taken off by anyone else. Me...Sitting on the side of the road...called Les Schwab...Les Schwab worker says it has been too long ago and there is nothing they can do because they don't know what has happened between the time they worked on it and now. I am being questioned about my honesty and credibility but someone that works at Les Schwab has my ANTI-THEFT adapter...hmmmm. Who should be questioning who? How about find my adapter and return it...PLEASE!!! I'm having fun waiting on a tow now since I can't simply put the emergency spare on...Thanks Les Schwab!
My husband took my car in for alignment which was schedule for 10AM and was supposed to take about 2 hours becuase they had to put tie rods in as well since ours were bad. On the way taking our daughter to school I got a text from my husband asking if there was anything wrong with the the door, i said no and i didn't hear from him for about 30 minutes.
I called and he said that when they called his name, he paid, got the keys and went out to the car to find that the drivers side door wasn't shut all the way, he opened it and the door practically CAME OFF! He called the manager over and got it fixed. Later he picked me up on the way home and showed me the door above the window, there were 2 dents and a few scratches. My husband asked if they were there before, i said no so we went to an auto repair show and got an estimate to fix it. Right after we went over to Les Schwab and showed the manager the estimate, he was less than pleased because it was over $1000.
I was already furious with everything, but it made me more mad when the Manager only talked to my husband and didn't even look at me. It's my car, I made the appointment and paid for it. I'm not a stupid girl that doesn't know anything about cars.
We put a claim in with 2 estimates to fix the car and 1 to rent a car since we only have 1 rental company in town. Got a call saying their putting our claim on a rush so we can get things done quicker. That's the only good thing about this besides having video in the shop.
About 15 - 18,000 miles ago I bought 2 premium tires at this company (Toyo), with a 90,000 mile warranty. I had them re-balanced and rotated at 162,826 miles (Sales person MichaelS).
Now, at 173,479 miles I noticed that the tread seemed worn more than the modest mileage of use would suggest, and I went for another tire service to the same company. Sales person DevinJBa declared the tires worn out and should be replaced.
He explained that I had no claim under the warranty, because the excessive wear was due to faulty wheel alignment.
I immediately had my wheel alignment checked by a specialist alignment shop, where it was declared within factory specifications.
I find such practices outrageously dishonest, and bordering on thievery. I will give this company negative customer reviews on all online sites, and never take my business there ever again.
In July of 2014, I went to Schwab and talked to Nate the manager, I was trying to decide between buying new wheels or paying to have my old tires taken off my wheels, so that I could install new tires. Nate told me that he could get them apart and quoted me $60. On 8/11/14 I dropped them off. I specifically asked Nate if he could do them without scratching them, he said that he could. I called the next day to find out of they were ready, he told me that he was busy and that "If there are customers waiting for service, yours will have to wait, that is just the way it is." After that response I decided that if they were not ready in the morning, I would go get them and take them somewhere else. I had a message that they were ready the next day, so went and picked them up. They told me the charge was $100, which I argued that was not the quote. The employees loaded them in my truck. When I got home, I put them in the yard and power washed them, to get the tire lubricant off that Les Schwab left on them.
I then noticed that every single one had scratches and gouges from dismounting them that were NOT there when I took them in. These wheels were brand new less than 1000 miles ago, all of the marks and gouges were fresh and would have shown corrosion from winter roads here if they had been damaged previously. I took them by the shop that installed them last year, and they verified that the damage was fresh and from dismounting. Then I took them to Schwab, showed them to Nate who refused to do a thing about it, even though he acknowledged that the damage to all of the wheels on the backside was from his shop dismounting them. The damage and scratches to the front side of two of them he simply shrugged his shoulders and denied causing the damage, even though you can clearly see where the clamp they used to hold the wheel slipped and gouged the front side of the wheel lip. The other front side damage was from them either dropping or roughly setting the wheel on rough concrete.
I came in to get my brakes done and had an appointment to do so. The first red flag was that they didn't have the parts in for the job, which they had two weeks to get. They were nice and offered me a ride somewhere if i needed one, but I wanted to watch the repairs to make sure nothing shady went on. They had the parts driven in from a nearby town, but this is where the shady began. The mechanic proceeded to tell me that BOTH rotors were bad and needed replacing, even though he had only removed one tire. Red flag number two. An hour and 10 minutes after my appointment he finally takes off tire number two, but now he starts working on another car (the next appointment). Obviously this pissed me off, as I was told that it would be an hour to do my brakes. How about working on the previous car before you start taking apart another car? Not only did the mechanic fail to "earn my trust" he failed to get the job done when promised. I had to come back the following morning to get my car. When I picked it up, he tried to sell me parts I didn't need. I had just replaced my rear axel seals and differential gaskets, but he said I needed new ones. Very disappointed. Did I mention I was charged for the extra time he spent fixing someone else's car instead of mine? Avoid this Les Schwab. Normally they are pretty good and honest, but not this one.
I went to Les Schwab to have my tires balanced and rotated noticing a slight shake in my steering wheel. They were friendly to help me with everything and were fast in getting my car back to me... it was in just about a half hour later I noticed the issue with having any work performed by what looks to be a bunch of although nice but still highschool kids working on your car. I was just getting on the freeway on ramp when my left front wheel just came off my car sending my screaming into the concrete barrier. After collecting my thoughts and getting everything from the car together I noticed that the wheel only had two of the five nut things on the car the other three were missing and those I could only imagine were barley on the car when I drove off... This is the last time I will go to any establisment where highschool kids run the show. I could only imagine the damage that would of been done had I made it onto the freeway and had gotten up to speed. I might not even be here to tell everyone that again although they were very nice, kids have absolutly no business messing around with cars.
