I was in an airport (Tulsa) and I tried to called my daughter using my debit card.....that call was $3.50. I later tried to call my youngest daughter, and I was using cash. The instructions said to put in the original cash (50 cants.)
I had the wrong number.....I had left my phone behind and could not remember. I was charged $18.50 for a collect call, and another $1.00 for the same call. I have no idea who this company is, why there were allowed to charge such a high price for a collect call, WHICH I DID NOT MAKE.
I received an emergency collect call from my son. We were only on the phone a few minutes and it was a local call. I was charged a total of $43.40.
The first charge was for $1. And a second charge was for $42.40.
The collect call provider did not, at any time provide information regarding the cost of the call. The was no live person operator, but only a recorded message with prompts. At no time were per minute rates given, nor any information on how the cost of the call would be determined.
The amount charged was ridiculously high and I feel ripped off.
