Barry K. Rothman is an attorney who has a license in Los Angeles and possibly New York. He is the definition of the word unethical. I had a high profile legal matter that necessitated privacy and made it clear to him I did not want any sort of publicity on the matter. I did not research him and hired him out of despair as I needed an attorney fast.
Not only did he sell my story to the tabloid but he would double bill me on every bit of information I would receive from him. He would send me notice through email and telephone call for the same information and bill me his padded fees twice. When I asked him to stop doing this he threatened to quit in the middle of my case unless I paid him more money. I did not want to be extorted so I fired him.
It turned out I needed an NDA signed by him to settle my case and he yelled and cursed at me knowing that I needed him for the signature.
He was extremely abusive and called me foul names and used the F word and the B word over the telephone saying "he would run me into the ground and let me die there". I was cornered with time and wanted him out of my life so I paid him $2000.00 for his signature.
I later did research on him and found that he was the lawyer who tried to extort Michael Jackson by "developing" fake accusars and lost. The documents about his extortion attempt with Michael Jackson are public information. Just google "Barry Rothman extortion".
