I have read the other Rip Off Reports about Ed Fradkin. They are true. When you first meet Ed he is warm and caring and will say anything to someone getting divorced to hit those nerve fibers when you are down. He gets you going that wow I'm going to get somewhere on my case. He asks for a large retainer then files a motion. When it doesnt go well he says I need more money we will get a new judge etc.
Well don't beleive Ed he is a liar and is all about the money and is not prepared when he goes to court. What gets me about alot of the divorce attorines is they are friends and they have more of a interest in being friends with each other then standing up for their clients. They have to see each weekly in court because divorce you are in court alot. They want to keep the piece among themselves.
Ed's mentor and boss for years was a man named Phil Jacobowitz. Phil's biggest adversary was a divorce attorney who is now retired David Ansell. Phil and David put on shows that they hated eachother but they were great friends outside of the work place. Ed believes in this practice and thought it was smart and today tries to be best friends with many tough attorines.
How do I know this Ed had a para legal named Hallie that worked for him for years. She has seen so much of Ed's antics. She got tired of them and shortly after I was not a client of Ed's anymore we ran into eachother and talked for almost 2 hours. She told me she had quit and my case was one of the final straws.
She then emailed me some documents and emails after we meet that were shocking and I was very close to sending to the Ethics commitee. But when I read stories or I to have run into old clients of Ed's that have horrible stories it makes me think its years later but I need to send this information in.
I think if you read these complaints you get the picture. Please take your time intervew many divorce attorines. Also take someone else along with you that's not so emotional caught up in the divorce and can see through the attorines lies.
There are hundreds of divorce attorines out there. In Monmouth County there are hundreds. Stay away from Ed Fradkin he is not a good one on many levels.
When I went to see Ed Fradkin for a post divorce issue he told me everything I wanted to hear. After spending thousands of dollars he did not one single thing he promised. I let him know I had a budget and he promised me he would take care of things. After thousands of dollars this attorney accomplished not one thing other than cost me a tremendous amount of money. This one post divorce issue cost almost as much as my entire divorce. I told him I had a fixed bidget and he assured me he could accomplish what I needed to be done within that budget. A complete and utter fabrication on his part. I feel he was incompetant, money hungry and all the promises he made me were just to line his pockets. He is a charming and personable guy - that does not translate to an honest and good attorney in this case, in my opinion.
By pure chance I met 2 other people who had used him and one was suing him for malpractice.
I was complaining about him to a friend in line at a store and this person said "are you by any chance talking about Ed Fradkin"? I almost fell on the floor and said yes! We then compared notes and they were very similiar. The other person I met while waiting in the office of another attorney who told me they just fired their attorney because they felt "he only cared about the money" and hoped this one would be better. When I asked if they minded sharing the name with me they said "Ed Fradkin", this was in the space of a 3 week period! I can imagine how many disgruntled, unhappy clients there are out there if by pure chance I met 2 who both said the exact same thing I experienced. There are a lot of attorneys out there, I personally wish someone would have warned me about Ed Fradkin before I wasted my money.
