Went to Land Rover of Ft. Meyers to buy a SUV. After hours of interrogation they decided they would sell me the car. Claimed they had a problem with their cars being exported. Im not an exporter & couldn't care less about their problems unless they concern me. The new car I bought was supposed to have options several thousands of dollars over the base price. They concocted some story that the "Window Sticker" had been stolen off the vehicle but assured me that the price I was paying was true "MSRP." I bought the car & was promised a window sticker within 1-week or so.
After 4-weeks I was told that they were holding the window sticker for 6-months. Then the story changed to the window sticker was being held in the UK & it would take up to a year to get. Being suspicious I contacted Land Rover of North America.
I filed a complaint & within 2-days I received a call that I would have my window sticker within 1-week. When it arrived I discovered that car I purchased was many thousands of dollard below what I paid them. In other words they sold me a $93,000 car for $100,000. Federal law required all new cars to come with a "Window Sticker" displaying the MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price). This way consumers know what they are paying for. Now I know why they didn't want to give it to me. They knew they lied & cheated me out of thousands of dollars plus 6% sales tax on the stolen money.
I called Mr. Brian DelNegro who told me that I was an "Exporter" & that he had "Proof the car was exported." He said if I didn't like it to take them to court. I was astounded. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was so disappointed in the car that I traded it in at a car dealership in Palm Beach. They still have not provided me with a clear title. Florida DMV laws require a retail dealer to provide m with a "Clear Title within 30-days." They have not done that & it's been months. I have contacted the Florida Attorney General's Office & have filed a formal complaint. In addition I have filed a complaint with the DMV. Lastly I am going to have my attorney go after the the slight man who told me to sue him, Mr. Brian DelNegro. I will see him in court.
He's a typical lo-life car guy. Will tell you anything to get your money & then make up excuses to keep his ill gotten gains. He hung up the phone on me so I am telling the world how they do business. I shouldn't have to beg for the window sticker & title & then be called names. Lastly, he told me he had just retired from the police force but internet records show he's been working as a car salesman for these crooks for 17-years. A total liar.
