I have been trying to payoff my Lakeview LoanCare serviced mortgage for several weeks. While waiting for payoff information, I have sold my property and need to clear the VA LOAN and associated lien. I called Customer Service multiple times and sent multiple Secure Messages from their website since May 2021. Nobody responded to the Secure Messages because I did not sign the emails. Customer Service could not tell me what I needed to do until a couple of days ago. I finally talked with a Customer Service lady who told me about the signature requirement for payoff requests and where on the website to upload a signature PDF file. That got a response three days later. I was instructed to WIRE TRANSFER an amount of $33 for a fee and a couple of days interest over the total Principal I had tried to pay as a principal only payment. The website had and still will not let me pay it off. It does not matter to LoanCare that my property will start closing in a couple of days and the payoff is critical. I may lose the business deal because no liens such as the one covered by the loan are allowed. They DO NOT CARE! All I can do is WIRE TRANSFER from my credit union on the next business day after the weekend. They had sent me the payoff instructions after my credit union closed on Friday. One of the Customer Service people actually thought it was funny about the trouble I have had for months trying to payoff my loan early. I was never late on payments and usually overpaid. LAKEVIEW LOAN SERVICING DOES NOT CARE about their customers.
I wish you had a negative rateing because they don't even deserve a 1 star. They are rude. Put you on hold because they don't want to deal with there mistakes. I truely believe they lie to you just to satisify you. I've purchased a few homes and i never have problems like i do with lakeveiw loans. I am in the process of refinacing just to get rid of this company. I will never use them again.
I have received many offers to refinance my FHA loan with a huge MIP payment and I have not known who to trust. My loan is currently being serviced by Cenlar - so when I got a letter from Cenlar to refinance I decided to call And ask some questions.
The letter also had the name of Lakeview Loan Servicing. When I reached someone on the phone - the agent had a very poor demeanor and told me things about loan companies that I know are not true. I am a real estate agent and very familiar with home loans. He claimed that his company was the second largest mortgage company in the country. He was very inept and took forever to come up with any info. I hung up and recalled the number hoping to get a more capable person.
The next person said "yes I can help you babe". I was shocked at the unprofessionalism and immediately hung up.
After reading what I have read on line about this company - I am hoping to get away from this loan company as soon as possible.
Beware of LAKEVIEW KLOAN FINANCING, BAYVIEW LOAN FINANCING, ETC.
In July I contacted Lakeview as they were suppsoedly the best mrotage company to refinance existing mortgages with M&T Bank. This process has been bungled ever since I believed thatthe loan officer I spoke with actually knew what he wa stalking about.
It is now December 18th an dthey are still claiming I need to provide additional information to complete the refinance process..
I should mention that critical information and alleged requirements were not discussed as they were supposed to have been, which I guess I should inquire if they violated the law. they have changed requirements several time so far.
Did I mention the nonsense I had about credit cards? Although I have an very good / excellent credit rating and have no debt on my credit cards they expected me to cancel cards with available credit of almost $40,000.00? Gee what effect would that have on my credit rating?
I have a full time job as well as being an indpendent contractor as a fire commissioner. Although I explained I am not an employee they still sent documentation to confirm my employment??? Guess who would have been the person confirming the request? I have been the treasurer of the Board for 8 or 9 , maybe 10 years. They were told when I received my stipend and yet still sent the inmformation demanding a response? It is scary that a mortgage company does not seem to grasp the concept of an "independent contractor". Scary
If you heard of some of the other ludicrous requests you would realize how much I regret this process.
Note: I have refinanced at least 3 times since 1991 so far and this has been the most inept, disorganized and downright idiotic organization and process I have ever had to deal with.

I no wknow why they don't operate as their parent company, Bayview Loan Servicing, as they have appeared in this on several occasions. It also is interesting to find out that the companies are not members of the Better Business Bureau.
I also have been subjected to there rude and very unprofessional employees.I can't understand how this company stays in business. I am now talking to my loan officier to refinace just to get rid of this company

July did a refi with them and have yet to hear anything on it keep getting blown off day in and day out
they use a ( scam appraisal company to low ball your home ) why i dont know
but read a lot of people say the same thing. i have good credit make average money always pay my payment on time NEVER missed a payment and have a lot of equity and can even get this done. it is by far the worse company i have ever had to deal with. I dont know how they are still around treating people like this.
TRUST ME I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE ( STAY AWAY ) AND IF YOU HAVE THEM ( GET OUT ASAP )
