When we picked it up we did not notice the windshield had air bubbles between the layers of glass. No problem we brought it into the service area to have it replaced. They ordered the glass and called when it was ready. I went to pick it up and my wife dropped me off. Got the keys and the service clerk pointed it out. The glass still had tape around it from sealing the glass. I asked the service clerk why it was not ready, no answer. I was told I could remove the tape or leave it another day. OK I can be a get along guy and pulled off the tape, and removed the glue when I got home. Everything seemed good.
One day months later in a hard rain I noticed a leak. Back to the dealer. They could not find the leak. Driving it home I noticed a whistle noise and pushed on the onside of the windshield to see where the noise might be coming from. The darn windshield almost fell out! I could have stuck my little finger in the gap, turned around and back to the dealer. Showed it to them and no comment. They resealed the windshield.
Several other repairs were done with no incident to be honest. So we’re at 50/50 right now.
Bought a Winnebago MH on a Ram chassis, took it here for service. I have to say that the good repairs were handled by a different service clerk, but I know she wasn’t doing the work so a stroke of luck.
Taking the Ram in for work on squealing brakes, could not make them squeal so no work was done. In the mean time I found a Winnebago blog site where everyone was having brake trouble. Called the Ram desk at Chrysler and opened a ticket they told me to bring it back they needed to have something evaluated.
Returned to the dealer, unit sat for three days without being looked at. Ok we were on a time table, we’ll bring it back later. Took it back on a Monday, and because they only have one train much on this chassis and he had family issues it sat all week. Ok things happen, was told it would be done on Monday the following week. On Tuesday we called to see how it was going, still not touched. Not even the GPS complaint which does not take a special chassis much to repair. Was told that since they turned it on and it worked there was nothing they could do. BS, I blew up at this point. Service manager is a jerk, didn’t even care to hear my story or complaint, said I’d have to wait three weeks if I took it to Baton Rouge for repair. What?
No discussion on what’s wrong with HIS service department, let’s talk about how bad someone else is.
Don’t buy anything from Lakeshore Dodge unless you are passing thru and will never need service.
