I love dogs, but Lake Linganore is full of barking dogs, like a kennel - barking all day and all night, in every village except Westwinds. Also there are hundreds of loud Harley's, diesel pick up trucks, loud little jap cars, and solicitors at your door at all hours. The neighborhood has really gone down hill - lot's of loud hillbillies and red necks moving in with barking dogs.
If you want a quiet place to live, don't buy in this dog pound.
The Lake Linganore neighborhood has really gone down hill - the other poster is correct, the neighborhoods here are full of barking dogs, loud Harley's, and inconsiderate Hillbillies. Constant solicitors banging on your doors too. Absolutely no help from the HOA to correct any of these things.

Ryan Homes will sell you on how nice the lake is. The realtors will tell you how nice the people in the nighborhood are. Why would they do this? MONEY!!!!! Real simple. You will not hear about the 3 MURDERS and one SUICIDE last year. They will not tell you about the DEAD KID in the lake the year before last. They will not say he OVERDOSED on prescription pills and fell in. NOPE. They will not tell you about the RACISTS in this neighborhood who hate blacks, indians, muslims, asians, jews, hispanics, or college educated folks. Intolerant folks here. KKK types. I have personally been descriminated against because of the color of my skin by the HOA, known as LLA. I have had my vehicle broken into twice. The security truck they have doesn't help at all. They will forget to tell you about spray painted swastikas on buildings by the pool in 2009. They will not tell you about the 300% increase in HEROIN use since 2001. The roads don't get plowed and you are snowed in often. This place is the armpit of Frederick county, however I can't stop you from moving here. Live here a year and you will wish you listened. The director of the HOA is like the Grand Wizard of the KKK in my opinion. The LLA has had every negative review my neighbors posted removed so I don't know if this site will also remove this post. Good luck and do your research on crime in the area. You should meet the diector of the home owners association and your village manager first. You will know whats up after dealing with them. I have had Denese mouth off to my 11 year old son as she is a racist Bob Kimball is the worst HOA director in the 6 years I have been here. Denese Depeeza (yes it is spelled correctly) is the worst Village manager ever!!!!
