I followed a link on Facebook for a L'Envi free trial which stated that it was endorsed by Dr. Oz. When I was rerouted to Hartford Scientific's Ad for L'Envi I followed the several pages of product information until I came to a Buy now for quicker delivery button. No Where above that button did it state I would be signing up for a $94 monthly charge or that I would I have to send the product back to be refunded. In fact, it said quite the opposite. It said, if I was disatisfied I could send the product back at any time with NO obligation. Once I received the product I realized the ingredients listed on where at the very end of the ingredient list. The first ingredients were items not disucessed and once that seemed more like fillers and preservatives, (example: sodium EDTA). Because of this I tried to look up more info on the product. Thank God in the process I found many complaints about the company and their deception of hooking you into a monthly charge of $94.95 a month. So I quickly called to cancel within the 14 days. The lady, clearly from outside of the US (not Georgia where they are supposed to be located), tried to tell me she would cancel but that I had to send the product back and pay for shipping. I told her no where on the site does it say I have to send it back. I told her I was throwing it away as I felt I was scammed and did not appreciate their false advertisement. She told me it was all in the terms. So I went on line to find said terms. The terms are located in a small button at the very end of the pages, way below the buy now button. So no one would ever see them unless they chose not to buy now. After reading the terms, indeed you are signing up for the monthly charge. However, it doesn not say you have to return the product within the 14 day trial. It does state that you can return the product with an RMA and pay a $19.95 re-stocking fee. The lady, who was incredibly hard to understand because of her acdent told me she was the supervisor and their was no one else I could talk to. She refused to just cancel without telling me I had to send the product back without an RMA. The only way I could get the RMA was to keep the product beyond the 14 days. I said no, cancel now and I am not returning it. She kept trying to argue with me and get me to keep product after 14 days. I ended up hanging up on her and calling my back to stop payment on any future charges from them. After reading other complaints it is obvious that if they get you to keep product after 14 days you have entered what they call a legally binding contract. So that is why she was trying to get me to agree to keep it. Don't be fooled by this company! Oh and the address on line does not exist. 11340 Lakefield Dr. Johns Creek, GA 30097
I feel like such a fool. I couldn't find the terms of the trial agreement, not even to see I only had 14 days, after tying to talk to them(the one time I found a contact number),they informed me that the trial period started when I hit "send",not when I received it,or when they started to process my info. It took about a week to get the mediocre product, and then I had only six days to send it back,no time to try it at all.Only noticed the near $200 missing when my debit card was declined. Is there any way to get my funds back, any one know?I'm fighting this due to principle and also-I need that money. Havn't really used it,happy to send it back..but they are so con-slick.In googling"trial scams,"a link to the f.B.I. is there-who would have thought my one second of vanity could lead me to the fbi! How are these criminals still operating? Any fund retrieval hints would be most welcome.thanks for posting,I'm glad i'm not alone, but feel for anyone taken in by "L'envi.Let's sue them, get our money back,or at least stop them from stealing more NOW!!
Same thing happened to me.....they get you hooked in with "free" shipping and a 14 day trial. I ordered the face cream and the eye cream. The eye cream only lasted 1 week and I threw out the bottle...I like the face cream and decided I would try it for one more month so I didn't call to cancel within 14 days. I noticed a charge for $94.99 and expected a new shipment. I waited 2 weeks and just called to find out what was going on. They billed me for my "free" trial! They billed me $94.99 for the eye cream and another $94.99 for the face cream!!! I was outraged, demanded a refund, and canceled my orders. There was never a supervisor to talk to. They (hard to understand English) kept repeated that I agreed to a binding contract in the small print which I never saw or was never told about when I called to confirm my order. After two days, and my relentless demands, they offered a 15% refund. Not acceptable. Then a 35% refund. Still not acceptable. Finally, they agreed to a refund only if I send the containers back to them. I threw away the small dose of eye cream weeks ago so they would only offer a 50% refund for that. I just sent back the eye cream (paying $9.00 for shipping myself) and will hopefully get this refund when they receive it. They made this a miserable experience and suck you in without being upfront. This is a horrible business practice and I grieve for all the other people who want to try this cream and then get billed outrageous prices for something they expected for "free!" So unethical and sneaky. Don't order this "free" trial. You'll be so sorry!
L'Envi the Biggest Scam Ever Report them to the BBB 478-742-7999
I have been fighting with this company for awhile. Report them to the Better Business Bureau in Martinez Georgia USA, they have so many complaints against them already that this will help the investigation to shut them down and all of their other scam companies. You can contact Mr. Wallace Baron at the BBB at 478-742-7999. They finally refunded the money to me after a lot of haggling with them, but they only got me for less than $50, I cancelled 10 minutes after ordering the free sample, and they still shipped it the next day even though I ordered it on a Sunday. They were counting on hooking me into a contract with them if they could get me to have the product for 14 days. When I called to cancel, they refused telling me I had to keep the product for 14 days. Anyway, I am demanding they disclose their terms, which they craft fully hide so you cannot find them until after you order the free trial. The BBB is doing a full investigation on them and all of their other scam companies. L'Envi is owned by Hartford Scientific located at 4816 Technology Dr Martinez GA, which is a company under the parent company of Advanced Med Direct LLC located at 4816 Technology Dr Martinez, GA. They are also scamming people with other products. Pos-T-Vac Inc. is their male enhancement company located at 4811 Technology Dr. Martinez, GA They are bilking peoples insurance companies at this company and when the people do not pay up the difference which is hundreds more dollars, they make them fill out a hardship form so they can bill their insurance for additional money. They use an address for L'Envi of 11340 Lakefield Dr. Suite 200 Johns Creek, GA 30097 but you cannot find it on google and they have another company that is scamming people called US Natural Supplements LLC also located at 11340 Lakefield Dr. Suite 200, Johns Creek, GA 30097 This guy named Chandler Hall is associated with all these companies and another guy named Robert James White who calls himself the CEO. Clearly they have a out of country call center because everyone sounds like they are from the Philippines and when they write to you, it is clearly not the way an american would write anything. Reminds me of the movie "Outsourced" Please report these guys to the BBB. They know the BBB has teeth and can shut them down, so report them. Here is the link to the public notice in Georgia for Hartford Scientific and it's parent company Advanced Med Direct LLC. We need to shut these rip off artists down. When their foreign people wrote to me, they denied having any association with these companies, but see for yourself.
I'm embarrased to even admit that I ordered this stuff to begin with. They don't make it easy to cancel, providing no contact info with the product. After repeated failed attempts, I finally called my credit card company and they contacted the company and we had a phone conference with the credit card representative listening in. I was able to cancel future shipments and was given an authorization code for returning the original trial order. And the credit card company will not let them submit another charge to my account. This is one slick outfit and there are many more just like them. From now on I will buy this type of item at my local drugstore. It will be a lot cheaper and I won't end up paying shipping charges both ways.
I followed a link on Facebook for a "Free Trial" all I had to pay was $4.95 for S&H for which I gave a credit card no. When I got my statement I was charged an additional $94.99. I have called too many times and held for too many HOURS to even remember except that I have kept notes. I have written a letter to the Texas Attorney General's office with a copy to the Georgia Attorney's office. I would recommend reporting the company to your state's Attorney General. They have violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and by doing so they are subject to a hefty fine, revocation of their right to do business in the State of Texas and many more violations including theft by deception which carries a punishment of prison time. As soon as I got my credit card statement I contacted them requesting that no more payments be made to LENVI, unfortunately for me, they had just paid another $94.99. Not only do I want my money back, I am going to take every legal remedy available to stop these people and hopefully, after a thorough investigation, someone from the company will have the pleasure of spending some time in prison.
Ordered "free trial" and then read these reviews. I immediately tried to cancel the order within an hour of ordering but they said it was too late and had already went out. I told them my UNDERAGE child had ordered this and I was in no way paying for it. The lady with the thick accent (not U.S.A) then agreed to cancel all future shipments but I am on the hook for S&H payments sending the stuff back. The entire time she kept trying to talk me into keeping the product--I would say I dodged a bullet but sucks they scammed me out of postage.
DO NOT GET SUCKERED INTO BUYING THIS PRODUCT!!! MAJOR RIP OFF AND THEY WILL BILL YOUR CREDIT CARD EVERY MONTH UNLESS YOU PAY UP AND ONLY THEN CAN YOU CANCEL!!!!
Like the others above, I sent away for the free sample. Now I have been getting the product monthly and do not want it. I will try sending them a certified letter. Interestingly enough, no receipt or telephone number is available. What a rip-off. This must be illegal.
