In December 2013, Ms. Mabel Germain Oppong placed an order for 34 bottles of premium wines to be parcelled as hampers (awards) from a wine shop in Accra, saying she was promoting a highlife award program at the Mensvic Grand Hotel at East Legon, and advised the wine dealer to participate as a co-sponsor to Star Beer.
The night in question, she disappeared and lied to the wine company that she was billed to receive an award at the GTV, saying, that was why she wasn’t at the program. The wine dealer was deceived, cheated, and duped by Mabel Germain Oppong, as a result. The total amount involved was 1400.
In January 2014, Ms. Mabel Germain Oppong, who claimed to be a staff of GTV, called the wine company on phone and placed an order for 30 bottles of Premium Wines to be delivered to her at the GTV main entrance.
The amount involved was 625.00 GHS
She advised that the drinks must be delivered to her at the GTV main entrance and be handed over to the receptionist (Ms. Agnes Ajirakor), because at the time of delivery, she would be busy at GTV studio.
The drinks were delivered accordingly and a delivery receipt was signed by Mrs. Ajirakor, as arranged.
Since then, all efforts to receive payments from Ms. Mabel Germain Oppong has failed. She has disappeared again.
The case was reported by the wine dealer to the Police at the CID Headquarters 4th Floor at Accra and she was invited by the Police to report but has failed to do so. She has disappeared again.
Anyone who knows her whereabouts should contact us for a reward.
