Shopping at the Kohl's store at 2140 N. Elston Ave. Chicago IL. 60614. After shopping to buy my kids clothes for their Mother's Funeral. I did have an old in Store Kohl's Card that can only be used in the Kohl's store only. But since I didn't use much it was inactive. At the check out the cashier said if I signed up for their Visa card I would get a discount on my purchase. For some reason it didn't go through, but the cashier said I would get a letter in the mail. So I used my Sears Citi Platinum Master Card to make my purchase. Sears Cards are very hard to get you must have very good credit. I got a letter in the mail and this is what it has to say:

Your credit score is: 877

Scores range from a low of 501 to a high of 990
Key factors that adversely affected my credit score:
No usable real estate accounts
Credit score to low
Wow my Credit Score is to low?! For a Crappy Kohl's Credit Card Visa/Master Card) account issued by Capital One N.A. What does Real Estate have to do with a Crappy Kohl's Credit Card Visa/Master Card) account issued by Capital One N.A. I'm shocked since I was approved for a Capital One Platinum Prestige Master Card 10 days before I applied at Kohl's.
I ordered a space heater. I received a box missing screws to assemble the heater,, the user manual and the remote. They kept me on the phone for an hour and did not resolve the issue. They said they had to get with the manufacturer to see about the missing parts. The heater I purchased is out of stock. It seems it will never be back in stock.
I was told to take the giant paper weight to the store and wait for them to investigate. I asked them to send me the next heater up from the one I ordered at the same price, ship it overnight and let's call it a day. Again, I was told that I would have to wait until they conducted their investigation.
What I requested is regularly done by companies who care to make their customer whole. I know this because I have worked for companies where the satisfaction of the customer comes first.
I did not purchase the product from the manufacturer. I purchased it from KOHL's. Kohl's should get my issue resolved in a way that does not cause me any more money and wastes as little of my time as possible.
Kohl's has a problem with their vendor and THEY should wait for a resolution from them.
The reps I spoke to will not give me their full names nor will they give me a manager's name.. Both are shady actions of companies who want to deny or call into question what a customer says transpired and with whom.
"Debbie?" "Debbie who?" " We have quite a few Debbies... See how that goes?
My post about this issue on their Facebook site has been hidden by Kohl's to "secure the nature of my order number" . MY ORDER NUMBER WASN'T ON THE POST. I wonder how many posts they hide with flim flammy excuses such as that one.
I asked for a call back from a manager yesterday. I did not receive a call. I called Kohl's back and while the young lady was very pleasant,. She could not help me in any way.. I have yet to receive a call from ANYONE at Kohls.
I was told before my first call began that I had been chosen to participate in a survey. All I should do is wait after the call and I would be connected. After my negative experience, I was not connected to a survey at all. Isn't that something?
On Sat. Dec. 20, 2014 I did some online research on a Keurig K45 Elite Coffee Brewer which I found was carried by most retail stores and showed a normal retail price of $149.99.
Like most advertised prices, no store carried it at that, but at discounted prices of $119.99 plus various other discounts which varied by store.
Macy's had 15% off, Kohl's 20% off etc.
Since I wanted to look at the item before buying one I went to the Acworth Kohl's store on Cobb Parkway at 9 p.m. and noted that they had about 50-60 of them on the floor, but no sign of any discount other than the advertised $119.99 price.
I took my internet print out to customer non-service and inquired about the price.
I was told that I could open a Kohl's charge and get 30% off or I could go home and order it online for delivery to the store then come back and pick it up and get the 20% off.
Keep in mind that I am standing right there wanting to make a purchase and the morons are telling me that to get the advertised 20% off I would have to go home, order it online then come back to pick it up and they had probably 60 of them in piles 20 feet away.
Of course I had the option of paying the $119.99 sucker price which I was not about to do.
So you wonder just how stupid you have to be to work in a Kohl's and turn away customers who want to buy your merchandise.
Why they want to give you the run around is unknown, maybe they have sold all they wanted that day and thought that they could just give moronic answers to people and see if they could get them to buy it at the non-discounted price.
Didn't work with me. I won't buy ANYTHING at ANY Kohl's store, not a Keurig coffee maker or anything else.
I have also decided NOT to buy one at any store as the damn thing is just to expensive for making one cup of over priced coffee.
This site and several others* are under construction and I will provide information on how stupid this chain is based on my 12/20/14 attempt to shop at their Acworth, Georgia store, plus, you can see 43 consumer complaints about Kohl's at The Rip Off Report site:
I recently received a credit card from Kohls. I applied so I could get a 20% discount on my purchase. I typically do not shop at Kohls and this rare visit resulted in a purchase of about $50.00. I paid the card in full the first statement and did not use the card again for several months. Then another small purchase. Paid in full. etc. I pay my bill online and realized I had paid a day or two late and was charged a heavy late charge. (26.00) Pretty hefty since the balance was usually under $50.00. But my fault for not paying closer attention to the due date. On March 18th when I went into my account to pay I realized the due date was the day before. Late again, darn. I decided since I was going to have to pay the $26.00 I'd just wait until the next payment was due. The bill specifically read the payment was due April 17.
On April 20 I received a scary phone message, it stated, This is not a sales call, there has been a rise in crime in your area... then the call disconnected. My caller ID identified the call as Kohls.. I immediately called the number 262 703-1977. I was certain they were calling to tell me I was the victim of identity theft or that my card had been used fraudently. I was connected to several different people none of whom could explain the calls origin. Despite my obvious alarm, each person I spoke with quickly changed the subject and wanted to discuss my 3 day late payment. I became quite frustrated and angry that they would not address my concerns, telling them until I could get some answers regarding whatever crime had been committed with my credit card I did not wish to chat about anything else. I was hung up on a couple of times and after 2 hours of desperate phone calls to Kohls I was informed that was a collection call!!! A hardcore collection call for a payment 3 days late??? Suffice it to say I paid the bill in full and cancelled the card. I called Kohls corporate and spoke with Colleen Cary who assured me she would look into the matter. I never spoke with her again. I filed a complaint with the Wisconsin BBB and Kohls responded that I was mistaken, that was not a Kohls telephone number and they had no record of me. Buyer Beware.. Kohls is a high priced Walmart. I paid big $$ for a bath rug and some towels which was not the quality at JC Penneys for half the price.. Won't be doing business with ohls again..
