Contacted Singles Station in Knoxville and they went from telling me the company has been in Knoxville since 1979 to now they have only been in business for 1 year. They also claim they have thousands of clients however she says they are from Knoxville and Franklin etc. Well Franklin isn't close to Knoxville at all even though their representative likes to claim "its not that far". They wont disclose how much the membership costs over the phone and just like It's Just Lunch they are not "open" to the public they work by appointment only. When researching them there is really no different in Singles Station Knoxville and It's Just Lunch Knoxville. Both of them sound like scams. If they have been in business for just a year I do not know how they could possibly have "thousands upon thousands" of clients in Knoxville when they take 60-90 minutes an interview (Per their representative) that would mean they sign up 6-7 people per day everyday of the year. I tried their local number over 10 times to no avail just a recording which is obviously transferred to a call center and have went by there 3 times with no one. Strange for them to have so many clients however the office is never opened between hours of 12-6pm. I had to contact a 1800 number to finally reach someone. The representative would not give me information to how their screening works, how they complete their background checks, how they do the matching, nor a real number of how many clients they have in the area. My advice for this one would be the same as the previous RUN! If they wont tell you an amount or how they work sounds like a scam to me!
I'd advise everyone to investigate the company, Singles Station / ELove and look at the comments on this webpage and others. They have been known for matching people with incompatiable matches, for thousands of dollars. They will not give you any information until you are in a high pressure sales environment trying to force you into a contract and since Knoxville has no cool off period you will be stuck. To the people they have helped congratulations but I guarantee they have hurt more or lied to more people than they have helped!
