This company continues to defraud. I think this goes beyond this website to include at least puppies. I recently found an ad for FREE Maine Coon kittens in RI on this site. I was really psyched, but leery because it seemed too good to be true. None-the-less I responded to the ad.
The next morning I had two emails from a Tomas Schaffer ([email protected] with photos and one with a request for information about the home adopting. I responded. Meanwhile I found that the photo in the ad was a photo in Google images for a breeder in England; kittens were sold in 2010.
After responding, I started to feel uneasy, so I started looking at the email more closely and these are the red flags that stood out immediately; 1. No such person as Tomas Schaffer in RI; 2. Lots of grammatical errors; 3. ad said 2 kittens, then emails show more, very confusing as to what was in the litter and what was available; 4. email stated puppies rather than kittens--like a cut and paste; 5. asked if car seat was available for a cat; 5. free, vetted, chipped, purebred etc.; 6. etc.
After discussing with my daughter we did a search of the person's email address. Surprise--this person is also selling puppies. At this point I knew that I would not be doing business with this person. This person seems to be selling many different animals--so the animals could not be hand raised in the home. Also one of the websites for this "seller" is in a language I do not recognize.
This morning I got another email from the seller and it stated: "I am located in Richmond VA.. I would be happy if you can come to get the kitten. I am giving the kitten away for $500 with shipping $550. Waiting to read from you ." If I were to guess English is not this person's first language. Since when does someone give away a kitten and also charge?
At this point, I became suspicious of more than just this ad and started looking at others on the kittensforadoption.us site. First the dates on ads are suspect--most are old, so the kittens would be cats not kittens. Another ad listed the location as Atauga County in RI--no such county. There were just too many discrepancies to ist. Ads list a location and the "actual" is Richmond, VA.
This feels like a huge operation to defraud unsuspecting consumers. Not just kittens, but apparently there is some connection to puppies. I am also worried about pfishing. I have also filed a complaint with Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). I am considering filing other complaints. Even if kittensforadoption.us is legitimate, it is not doing a very good job of monitoring its listings. I recommend staying away from any listing on this site! I hope that someone will investigate this mess; it has been going on way too long and nothing seems to happen.
One note, I think that the "seller" I contacted has many email addresses and listings and that someone should be investigating this operation. I even wonder if listings get generated based on the search criteria listed on the kittensforadoption.us website.

i inquired in to two places with Devon Rexs in IL and got two people almost with the same email back to me. they both want to use uship also (another place that has bad reviews)

come for pick up,i am desperate in getting this kittens to you,since they
are very lonely at home while am at work,i am ready to make all
necessary arrangements for them to be delivered to you today or any
time that is okay by you,it will cost you $200 for the delivery of
one kittens to your doorstep so what I need is for you to promise that you
are going to take very good care of her since all i need is a good
home for my kittens , and i will be sending this kittens to you along side
with all necessary documents and all other health certificate in my
disposal,their blankets and cage will also be sent.So during this

highly needed by the delivery company to locate your area for home

will making the payment. You will be making in the payments directly
to the delivery Company, payments shall be made as soon as the
delivery Company contact's you, since they will contact you via Email
and Phone for payments method and delivery details..They will let you
know all details on how delivery and payments will be done,for them to
buy a flight ticket and also activate the delivery card of the kittens
to your home and you don't have any problem to be worried since i
have once used the services, it is safer and fast. Please keep to
your promise of sending updated pictures on how the kittens is doing
with you?I have also attach some recent pictures of the kittens to you,
