Mike Shay is a scam, never trust him in your house. He visited my house last week to service my treadmill. He said thT the console needed to be fixed. He removed the console and sId he said old order a replacement and would come back to fix it. He left collecting his $65 and the burned out console, he has nt returned. We have called him numerous time. He answered the first couple of times and promised to come back but he is missing in action, may be cheating some one right now as we. Beware of MIke Sfay.
Another similar business (not going to mention the name) trusted Mike and contracted jobs out for Kickstart to complete.
I just found out he has done this for almost all the jobs that were given to him so I decided to submit this report with hopes that people will see this farce and know his character.
Evidently Mike found it worthwhile to totally try and make Kevin look bad to make him look good!! yah....nice eh??? great business etiquette.
I now know that Kevin is scrambling around and taking care of all his messes.....and making nothing on the service, as Mike took the money and didnt finish any of these jobs that were givien to him.
Here is what happened:
I had a treadmill that was not running well. Kevin came out and gave the proper diagnostic. He had sent us the proper part to order and it came in.
This was then contracted out to Mike.
Mike came and was here for almost 1.5 hrs. He told my wife the wrong motor had been ordered and that a new one would need to be ordered. Said it would not fit properly.
Stuff happens and I was ok with this. Wasnt blaming anyone for anything at this point.
I gave him $$ for the trip out and he said he would return as soon as the new one came.
The new motor came and we all tried to contact Mike through email and phone calls. Kevin also tried. He totally ignored everyone's emails but did finally end up telling Kevin that it is not his fault the wrong motor was ordered and didnt say he would go back to finish the job.
Anyways....Kevin came and saw the 2 motors were 100% identical. The 1rst motor was shipped and there was nothing wrog with it. Mike had no idea how to install it!!! and told us a lie that it was the wrong one. How could a guy that runs a business in this industry not know how to install a simple motor.
Kevin then installed it and was done in a half hour. He also lubed the surface deck for us and did maintenance on the unit
We offered to give him some $$ and he refused it.
Kevin says, that this has happened with around 6-7 different customers that he sent to Mike.
I wish all the best to Kevin and hope everyone will see what Kickstart is all about.
