My experience is absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional, decietful, and dishonest. My husband and I went into the dealership on May 14th. Before we went there my husband specifically told Jean that we will not be putting any money down or paying anymore for a car. If we couldn't trade in the 2013 mitsubishi lancer without having to pay more then we weren't interested. We were in the dealership from 6:00pm until they closed at 9pm. Jean and Kiami went back and forth for hours "waiting" for me to be approved for the 2014 outlander sport under the conditions that I stated. After all of these hours went by ended up getting the vehicle that clearly states on my contact that my down payment was $0.00. Fast forward to last week, my husband gets a call from Jean and ask about a downpayment. My husband had no idea what he was talking about. I called Jean and left a message with the receptionist and didn't recieve a call back. 3 days later me and my husband called back about a different issue and Jean says "do you have the $1600 downpayment for your car?" I told him and my husband told him we weren't told of any downpayment at any time during the entire time we were there. Jean said I told you about it and that it had to be paid by June 1st. Absolutely NOT!!!. We went over my paperwork on the phone and they tried to tell me that the top of the paper that says 0.00 down payment and the middle of the paper where it say $1650 cash for a down payment are completely different. The "Sales Manager" who told us that he was the owner of the dealership, said the khyami and jean both told us that we were aware of this $1650 down payment. I told them they were both lying. The sales manager told me that either I bring the money, bring the car back and leave with no car, or he calls to cancel my loan and reposses my car. I guess they have done this to so many people that they actually believed that I would fall for that when I know my legal rights and I know how to dissect a contract inside and out. I called the finance company and they confirmed that I was never required to put a down payment down. The deal with them is already done and they have already sent them their check. Where is this "downpayment" coming from if the finance company didn't request it. Also, my other car has already been paid off as well. Yesterday I called twice and left messages for Kiami to call me back and fax me over a document that I signed that I agreed to pay this downpayment, I have yet to get a reponse and my temporary tag expires Thursday and the title and tag department is stating that my deal isn't done so she can't proceed with my paperwork. How is my deal not complete when they have their money and my other car has been paid off? I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I have requested a meeting with the General Manager. If I don't have my 2nd temporary tag by Thursday I will be going to the Regional Office of the DMV and filing another complaint. We will see how long it takes before I get some answers and they honor the principles of good business.
