Keiser University Reviews

Keiser University Online is much different than any online or brick and mortar school I have ever heard of. I attended there from 2012-2013, online for and Associates in Medical Assisting. I qualified for full financial aid and pell grants. I was awarded for a full year broken into semesters. During the first semester I purchased a majority of my books, which at this point might have been wrong, but I did it. I completed a full year, however in my 3rd semester, 2nd year I withdrew within the day/days of the semester starting. I never even signed on. I withdrew due to issues of getting placement for clinicals that were required for graduation. No one within the program was even assisting me with placement, and after 3 months of looking I gave up, because it was coming time, and I had no luck in finding a location. Now 2 years later, when trying to complete my degree through Liberty University, I am told I cannot get my official transcript because I owe over $3,000 which within the 2 years I didn't know. With the full financial aid and grants it didn't make sense, I could understand a couple hundred for a book purchased for the 3rd semester. After attempting to reach people at Keiser for months, I finally was told well you went over your allowed book amount, something like $2000. And we charged 10% for the 3rd semester, not class full semester, for those 3 days before official withdrawl. Never did I receive notice of any amount owed. They will not accept book buybacks, so I am out of luck there, and will not release my official transcript so I cannot complete my degree. I am a mother of two, and just had my dream shattered over money I didn't even know I owed, if I truly do. I have not seen a balance sheet, but I am paying back financial aid loans through the department of education for my time at Keiser. Please stay away this school is overly expensive, and offeres NO help. All they want is money they do not care about education at all.

In 2007 i attended keiser college for medical assisting, I was not in the school a whole semester, i withdrew from school because of family issues, so the school took it apon thereself to charge me for a whole semester 7,000 dollars i do not owe any student loans. i never recieved a phone call, a letter of any sort i went to the school in 2014 to get an official transcript they said i owed them 7,000 and i said for what so for me to get 6 credits which are on one class they are charging me for a whole semester so now my life and carreer is on hold until i pay them money i have no clue of what for. this is obserd. now they have directed me to call a number to wheel and deal with an individeal to barter money so far it has went from 7000 to 3000 i have emailed these people and now i have gotten no response. my educational needs are extreamly important. now my life is on hold. i can see if people owe money for student loans, i do not, therefore they are withholding 6 credits which can be easily retakin now i cannot get into a community college without my transcript. someone needs to look into this scam. HELP.

At first, a month ago when i went to the Fort Lauderdale campus to ask for information about the University people was nice, specially the admission counselor i sat with Mss Valenzuela. Then when i was transferred to the financial aids department, it was when everything went into frustrations, miscommunication and lack of organization, then at the end a complete wrong, abusive, ignorant, arrogant, disrespectful, mistreatment from what they call there "Director of Admissions" Mr. Mike Morley.

I completely don't understand how such an arrogant, ignorant, nasty, closed mind, low class and with no sense about respect for him self and the institution he works for, can be a "Director" of Admissions for a supposedly well recognized University.

On July 23th/2014 on the orientation day, after expressing my feelings to Mss Valenzuela about the miscommunication and lack of organization between the financial department and admissions department, this "Director of Admissions" Mr. Mike Morley without introducing him self got me in his office to raise his voice, ask me if i wanted to argue with him, shut down my aspirations with Keiser telling me that they are not the school for me and that i should look for another schools, then kicked me out his office for no agreeing with me and not having empathy for my frustrations with the miscommunication and horrible organization there, and he went completely wrong when while i was walking out his office he said GO TO HELL!

What a joke!!!, what a shame!!!, Keiser has someone like that as a Director of Admissions, I wonder how many students have been victim of the same mistreatment from that ignorant and arrogant "Director".

Come on Keiser, you can do better than that, there are many well educated, professional, and respectful people out there looking for a job and I'm completely sure they will do better than "Director Mike Morley", this ignorant, arrogant, disrespectful "Director" is just making you not only to lose students but also reputation out there.

My best advise to future students that are looking for college or university, THINK TWICE VERY WELL before getting into Keiser, you might end up sitting with that ignorant, disrespectful and with very poor customer services ethics "Director of Admissions Mike Morley.

I attended Keiser for 2 years after transferring from another private college in NE (that I also have issues with!). The whole world was promised me by admissions when I got my Wonderlich test results back. I chose to do x-ray, and despite having a great score on my Wonderlich, I was told I still had to take pre-requisites because all but 1 of the classes transferred in didnt match the requirements for the pre-requisites they said I needed. Odd I thought, but whatever.

Keiser promotes their flexibility in classes all over their print and tv advertising. What they fail to mention is that some of the programs ""core"" classes arent flexible... AT ALL! That wasnt a big problem for me but for plenty of other students it was, and I thought it very unfair to them. Strike #1: False Advertising. The quality of the education provided really shouldnt have the word ""QUALITY"" anywhere the word ""education"". Some of the instructors were so off-topic most of the time that several of the students had complained, even to the higher ups.

Nothing was ever done. The drug use, especially on the Melbourne campus, runs rampant and interferes with the studies of those that actually care about their education. Again, several students brought this up to administration and nothing was ever done. For a school that ""prides"" itself on the quality of professionals they educate, they sure dont care that their students are going out to hospitals on clinicals caring for seriously ill patients while snorting coke and smoking weed at any given chance! Strike 2: Lack of quality education (more on this coming...)

As I was preparing to graduate, Keiser goes into their speechs of helping you find a job. What this really is is them throwing a stack of papers stapled together, them saying ""Use plenty of these words in your resume"", telling you to submit a resume to the head of your department and to administration (they dont care what it looks like after glancing at it for 3 seconds), telling you to upload it to their career website, and walking away. I am not good with resumes at all. I scheduled an appointment with Ms. Pamphile who was in charge of this aspect, and I was in there for all of 4 minutes before she told me to use the booklet for reference and sent me on out. Really?
