My daughter-in-law sent me a link to a website that sells baseball bats at reasonable prices www.kanzabowl.com and with her help, I ordered the bat my grandson wanted for his birthday. I quickly got a confirmation of the order and already I sensed something was wrong. The company name given "huifu" was strange and before I realized it, I had placed an order to somewhere in China. The first email from the scammers was written in very poor english and made little sense. After a few weeks, I sent an email in return asking when the bat would come. They sent me a bogus tracking number. A few weeks later, a bat arrived, but it was not the one I ordered - not even close! I immediately emailed them again at [email protected] and they asked for pictures. I sent pictures of the bat, the package, close ups and all. It is now 5 months and several emails later and nothing. My money is gone and I have a cheap, Chinese bat to show for it. I have ordered from the internet many, many times but now I will be very, very, very, very cautious. I entend to let everyone know to be more vigilant when ordering from the internet. Go to the website/company's contact info and if they do not give a name, address, and phone number ( and I'd call the number just to verify they are real ) and exact contact information - DO NOT BUY from them.
I'm a 55+ year old American with 35 years of work invested in my life and my country and with all the money and technology we have, they can't even protect us from scams like this. Shame, shame. More should be done. My little, few dollars mean alot to me because I have worked hard for them. Most of the paper and pencil pushers that govern us have no idea why I and others are so upset over a baseball bat.... but I bet you do, if you're reading this.
