What a disappointment when my 4-month-old, $950 Sealy Posturepedic mattress developed a "hollow" where I slept! (I weigh 148 pounds, and was the only user of the bed.) I turned it and within a few months, had another hollow spot. This was repeated twice more--and I was sleeping in the middle to avoid the depressions.
When I went back into the store, they gave me the run-around. I went in again to complain, and they said they would send someone out to look at it--and MEASURE the depth of the depressions! Not long after, a man arrived with a piece of string which he laid across the bed, announcing the low spots were not deep enough. I even tried to get him to lie on it, but of course he refused.
My son has given me an old mattress he had (He paid $500 for it) and I'm sleeping okay, but it's not at all what I was hoping for! I went in one last time, and the manager argued with me and refused to do anything about it. I'm about to purchase a solid natural foam mattress, but you can imagine, I'm really disgusted with Kane's.
I purchased a 3 piece living room set made of bonded leather 2 1/2 years it started peeling apart. We called and they sent someone to fix it but charged me for the materials. While the tech was repairing it we noticed other areas that needed to be replaced. Kanes now tells me they won't fix it even though it's guaranteed for life. They offered a store credit for a fraction of what I paid for the set and said I would have to return the furniture to them. They know the furniture is garbage because they are suing the manufacturer of this bonded leather furniture.
I want my money back not a store credit, why would I buy anything from Kanes Furniture again.
My dad bought furniture from Kanes Furniture in 1989 and it lasted forever. My daughter still has 2 of the bedroom sets he purchased so I thought it was a good idea to buy from them. I thought the furniture would be well made but I was definitely wrong.
I purchased furniture from Kanes a few years back. I was told that they stand behind their furniture 100% from tears and structure etc... Especially if I bought this warranty. I did I bought over $5000 of furniture and warranties etc. from the n. Dale Mabry location. Shortly after this we moved and there was a tear while moving the couches. I call they send out a tech and he says it was done by the wall, but we didn't nor do we have the couches by the wall...they are recliners!! Anyhow I call the store I call district...nothing basically a whole lot of call him call her and no one stands by their furniture!!!
At this point the leather begins to fade and change color!! Yet this is quality stuff after a year!!! I call and guess what?!! They don't cover fading!! This place is running a Ponzi furniture scheme!! They take your money, they give u crap, and when u need them they ignore you! Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere!! And when you do make sure u are buying LEATHER and if you purchase a warranty make sure you purchase something that actually protects you for what the crooked sales staff pitches you on! Shame on you Kane's! You managed to Sour this lifetime customer! I only purchase Furniture from you. I've reccommended you...guess what no more! People BeWare!
I went into Kane's in Brandon three weeks ago and spent 1800.00 on two bedroom sets and dining room chairs. They took my money told me they are in stock and could deliver them 3/14. Two days before delivery they called me to say they didn't have the full size bunk beds I order and I had to come in to pick something else out. I told him are you crazy. When I bought them they were in stock and I paid for them why don't you have them. He told me a Manager would call me. No call stopped into store on my way home now I have bought all my furniture from them over the years never had an issue. Asked to talk to Manager was told he wasm on vacation but the General Manager was there. Said I would like to speak to him. He came out of the office I told him what happened He told me they don't hold furniture and if it isn't avail when it is time for delivery that is our policy. I told him I paid for it already what do you mean you don't have it. He told me again that is our policy Im sorry and walked off. I have never been treated so badly in my life I will never buy another piece of furniture from Kan'es or recommend them anymore. If it wasn't for their customers they wouldn't have am pay check I think they need to train theirn Managers to learn how to talk to customers. So basically they sold me furniture that they didn't even have with is stealling my money by the law.
