Business allowing immoral, illegal, and deceptive practices on their properties by employees. my husband and I along with my 6 month old son moved into the boulders at puget sound previously known as the westridge apartments in Tacoma Washington a few months ago. when we first viewed an apartment it was a ""viewing apartment"" and we were told that our actual apartment we would be living in would be exactly the same as the one we viewed. They did not show us our apartment before we signed the lease. On our move in date we saw our apartment for the first time it was not at all what we viewed it was completely different with inadequate heating system I had to put a heater in my sons room so he wouldn't freeze to death at night. On top of the apartment being dirty and needing a lot of repairs. After fighting with management they moved us to a ""newly remodeled"" apartment that came with its own set of issues itself; being dirty, needing electrical repairs, outlets not working, Wood work like cupboards and baseboards needing repair. A few days ago with the heavy rain our bedroom got flooded when the mantance person came out to peel the carpet up and investigate there was black mold everywhere which after finding that we did some further investigating and came across major black mold infestation through out our ""newly remodeled"" apartment. They are now trying to relocate us into a 3rd apartment on the property within a few short months of living here. And that apartment has mold as well!
I unearthed further information by reviews of people on the internet about them experiencing black mold in their apartments and management not doing anything about it. We have asked numerous times to be released from our lease . My son has also become ill since living here being diagnosed with bronchiolitis! And hasn't gotten any better. I have made numeros attempts to contact JRK regarding this issue and many others and the never call back. The paper work that the lawyer from JRK drafted to release us from our lease was in short black mail. they were trying to get us to agree that there was no issue and that they would not be liable for my sons health problems caused by their defective property and not resolving it. The company is well aware of the issues not only with managment at this specific property but also with the health and safty issues not only in apartments but on the apartment grounds in general.
I had the misfortune of renting an apartment with this pathetic property, It has over 700 units and only a couple maintenance people,so when you have something that needs to be fixed, it takes forever for someone to show up. You would think a property that obviously makes a lot of money, would properly staff the place.
Apparently keeping their nickles tightly secured in their butt cheeks is more important than taking proper care of the property, the sad thing is on the website, they preach about how much they care about the property and the people and the quality of standards they delusionaly beleive they have !!
This company should be JOKE instead of JRK, because they and theur owner Jim are nothing more than a joke !!!
Came home today to an apartment full of fumes from downstairs painting, immediatly made me sick, a call to the office got me Jessica, the assistant manager whom could care less with her practiced crap for tonality and overtalking without even hearing a suggestion.
I lose the loss of my apartment for the evening, she ignored my request period as nobody came to open the windows of the unit below me, and probably has the backing of JRK so I am posting for all to see how these scum work.
someone is in charge and someone is getting blamed here today. JRK okay for you to treat contract holding tenants this way, then I will let everyone know your conmpany is a SLUM LORD and gets off on violating civil rights and contractual rights.
TOM MANZO seems to be the overall overseer of these properties and maybe he is the one allowing his district managers and property managers to treat residents with no common courtesy.
