I brought it in for an oil change and after leaving the truck was getting around 12/13 MPG instead of 20/21 highway. I called them and they said to drive it for 150 miles and reset the NPG indicator. I did this and nothing happened. I was on a trip from Phoenix to San Jose Ca. The trip cost me about 30 cents a mile instead of around 10/12 cents a mile using Q-85. They made me a service appointment a week in advcance. I took the truck in and advised them it seemed to be stuck in Tow/Haul mode because the light came on once then went off. they told me they checked it out and nothing was wrong. then made another service appointment for a week later. I took the truck in and they sent it to San Tan Ford in Gilbert Az, they gave me a number to call at san tan and a name which I called aftewr a couple of days, the guy told me it checked out like jones stated on their repair check. I told him what happened and he stated nothing was wrong. advising me the low milage was because of Q-85. I advised him I had run the truck using gasoline and Q-85 and it seemed to run better with Q-85 after a few thousand miles comparing both modes. He said I was incorrect. I asked hin if he had ever used ethanole, he was reluctant to discuss it further, he appeared to be unaware of Tow/Haul problems or how to change from Tow/Haul back to Normal. I had the same problem at Jones.

1) when I decided to trade the 2009 DTS in perfect condition I was told it needed extensivew rrepairs and they would just send it to auction, giving me 8,000 for a trade in, When I stated it was too low they stated it needed extensive repairs, and that the truck F-150 cost 37,000 new It was their deal of the week 21,995. They also added another 3,000 for extended warranty pin striping and security against theft, citing again that it was 37,000 new and should be sold for more than 30,000.
I was waiting on the VA to send me new glasses and could not read well and overlooked what appoeared to be a different truck delivered from the one I bought both Ford F-150 Single Cab 5.0 Litre V8, Long Bed with a bed liner and tow hookup added after purchase. The truck delivered was full of tiny dents and scratches covered up with a paint brush. The drivers seat has a dent causing one side of hip to be lower than other, they said they would replace it, but I requested it be delayed until all issues were known. They have since refused to repair the front seat dent and another on the center arm rest. The service department stating they were unable to find any abnormality.
The second time I went for repair the sales manager ? called me and stated in a funny tone " I am calling you because I would not want you think we are not going to do anything ". When they told me they were getting two other dealer opinions that agreed with theirs they would go no further.
My suggestion would be to not deal with Jones/Brown auto dealers on Pinal Road in Casa grande. After searching for other scams and rip offs I discovered other similar complaints. I will seek legal help making them pay for; time, troubles, cost.
On May 16 2014 I visited Jones Ford in Wickenburg Az to look at and test drive a new Dodge Charger. I Was very happy witht he car and dicided to purchas it. When I talked to the saleman I told him I had a preapproved loan for $35000 from my Credit Union and showed him a slip of paper showing my pay-off on 2 vehicles the First one being a 2006 HHR that I told himwas on the GM Recall but could not get repaired and I felt unsafe driving. The pay off on it was $10,015.50. The second vehicle was a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 which they looked at while I was there at the Dealership. Payoff was $5,977.77 I wanted to trade both in for a total pay off of $15,993.27. The salesman said he would have to call in and get a pay off on both vehicless his self. I waited around for about an hour then went to lunch. When I came back I was frustrated and tired and I needed to get back home to check on some things. They finally came up with a figure I could deal with. I was asked to sign a paper saying I would buy the Dodge Charger upon my bringing in both my trade ins, which I was going to do with in 10 days and they agreed.
I returned to Wickenburg on May 23 2014 bringing both vehicles with me ready to make the trade for the Dodge Charger. The salesman met me and we went in to the building where I had to wait around to get into the Finance Officers room. Everything was fine except they could not get a loan for the total amount and I was asked to come up with another $1000. When I said I could no they settled for $500 and we begain the paperwork process. First thing I noticed was the pay off figure was wrong. When I questoned the finance officer about it he said they had called in and that the figure was correct. (ei $15,098) When I was in the process of singning papers I was told t put the date as May 16 2014 because that was the date I first started the process. Then I found a $300 fee for Etching the windows. He explaind that that was part of a theft recovery system that they added to the car. I was not told that I did not have to pay for it if I did not want it. Arizona State Law says you do not hve to pay for add on like this if you do not request them yourself. To my knowledge I was never given a sheet saying anything about a payoff amount except the sales contract. After signing all the papers I was handed a folder with the paper for the sales contract, financial credit union contract, extended warranty ,the form for the theft deterrent system and Gap Insurance. I drove off the lot in a new Dodge Charger at about 3pm on May 23.2014
Then things started going down hill. On June the 7 2014 I recieved a letter from the Credit Union I had used for the trade ins and they informed me that the payment was past due. I called Jones Ford and explained the letter and was told they had sent in the payoff for both trade ins. On June 16 2014 I was again in reciept of a letter from the Credit Union stating that the bill ws past due and my credit ratting might be effected if it ws now taken care of. I drove back to the dealership and discussed this matter with the financial manager. He stated that the check was sent in but returned because the Credit Union could not take one check for both accounts and needed two checks one for each account. He told me they woud re issue the checks and everything would be fine.
A few days later I was informed that the pay off amount on my contract was wrong and that I owed the dealership almost $900. I just about flipped. Knowing that they took an extra month to make the pay offs on the two accounts I called my credit union and was informed that Jones Ford had never called in for a payoff unitll June 20 2014 The only request for pay off was done by me on May 14 2014. When I called in about this to Joen Ford I was told that they used an automated system and it would not show up on the account reports. I figure that was BS. I told them I did not think that I was responsable for the additiontal amount for which they have never stated the amount of just a ball park figure of $900. I have informed them that I can not afford that amount and did not think I was liable becaue I have a signed contract and the car.
Sense this all started the Dealership has continued to call and harrass me about this even after I tried to get the BBB to step in and try to intercede in the matter and they have continued to ignore all requests from the BBB.
I do not think that I shuld be lieable for amistake that the Dealership made on a sales contract that is a binding agreement when they did not even call in for a pay off amount and did not pay off the previous loan accounts in a timely fashion. nnor should they be able to keep on calling me or turn it over as debt recovery
