I call John Mammosser and Smilemaker Hardwoods in to give me a quote on hardwood floors for a total home rehab. Once he was there he asked if he could quote the entire job (cabinets, paint, tile, carpet, bathrooms, deck work, etc). I gave him the opportunity and ended up giving him the job. He ended up not knowing what he was doing in every area other than the hardwood floors. Countertops weren't even attached to the base cabinets. Kitchen sink was barely holding in the countertop because the hole was cut too big. Loose tiles on the bathroom floor. 2 different grout colors used on the same shower surround. Messy painting job. Screwed up electrical. Very bad carpentery skills on deck. And to top it all off, part of the hardwood floors (the only part that looked good) ended up getting screwed up because there was a plumbing leak in the wall from where he put a drywall screw right through a pipe and leaked underneath the hardwood and caused buckling. I informed him of these issues and he stated that he would fix them, but I told him I would rather have someone else fix it and have him reimburse me. $3500 and almost a year later John Mammosser has changed his phone number and hasn't paid me back a dime. Don't fall for the big talk because there is absolutely nothing to back it up.
