Hired the company and was very afraid. From these postings. Company came out and did job and good work. No issues or concerns. Good job and now I believe what the owner has told me. People cancelling contracts after agreeing to the contract because of these postings. I can't blame the owner john for being hesitant to cancel contracts after customers have signed them.
To all customers of this company don't beleive everything you read. They did a great job. Shame on customer who doesn't hold there end of contract. If customers are concerned about who they hire they should check out the companys prior to signing a legal contract then deciding to Void it after the fact.
I support this company and have hired them again to remodel basement. Just for those who say not licensed that's false also. His partner is a licensed builder in Michigan.

John Floyd at Unique Construction 51424 Van Dyke of Shelby Township hired me as a laborer in June.
We agreed on a hourly wage paid every week in cash. The first week he held up then the next 3 weeks I didn’t receive any money. I stopped working for him after a month because of no pay. I stopped working for him in July and tried getting my money multiple times.
He would say ill be down by you (because I live about 45 mins away from his house) and then I wait around and no sign of him so I go and do something and let him now and then he gets angry.
Then he tells me he mails the check and I wait a whole week nothing, then I confront him about it and he gets mad again. That happens for 2-3 weeks in a row saying he’s mailing it but nothing.
Then again, just recently we had finally made a plan to meet at his office at 25 and Van Dyke at a certain time and then he tells me he’s out of the area and that someone will deliver it to me, then I’m waiting all day for a delivery and nothing. He says the guys at the bank and then a he still at work and it’s a bunch of excuses.
Then yet again, just this week he said meet at a local coffee shop at 5 and so called him when I was sitting there for a few minutes and he told me he’s at 34 mile leaving his house. He says he’s on his way. So I wait another hour or so and call him and he says he’s 10 miles closer in an hour. Then he says he hasn’t left yet let’s do it the next day.

I seen this posting after we hired these people but they came out on time and were respectful and got the job done. Saved us money and did a great job
I notice that a lot of companys I have researched all have these posting because of upset customer or what not. We were very pleased with job.
