John A. Macoviak, MD and Annuary Healthcare Reviews
Jul 18, 2014
John A. Macoviak, MD brought a bunch of interns into his company stating how he's been working for years on a company that is ready to launch. About 20 of us spent a long time doing the work he wanted us to do. We did white papers, met for weekly conferences. Sometimes we'd work 20-25 hours a week. Dr. Macoviak always stated we'd have founder's shares in return for our "sweat equity." A lot of red flags though started to be raised by various people when we realized things weren't happening as he was stating. The company name kept changing from RCEFI to Annuary Healthcare and to then some incubator name. Everyone started to become really confused. Dr. Macoviak then wouldn't reimburse any of us for things that we paid for out of pocket. We all started to realize it was a scam, that he was using us to be his work horses for free with no return in sight for us. His healthcare and medical background as a cardio surgeon also started to come into question as we started to learn that former employers of his that he claimed he worked for didn't know who he is. All troubling! I finally decided to suck up the half a year as a loss and move on.
