I took my 1996 Grand Prix in for repairs after I hit a deer. I was told the repairs would take approximately 3 days. I thought that was odd, but they are the pros.
John gave me the name of his rental car agency, and let me use his discount for the time my car was in the shop. When I went in to check on my car, I was told it was in the cleaning booth to prepare for painting. The next day, it was in the painting booth. Finally, on the third day, I was told it would be ready about 4 PM. I was there at 3PM. The man in the front was very surprised I was so early.
About a half hour later, the repairman brought my car out. He sprayed it down with a hose. I commented it was awful dirty for just pulling in and out of a building. I got in the driver's seat and the seat was so far back, I could not reach the pedals and there was an inch of gravel on the floor. I zeroed out the odometer when I left it there and there was 125 miles put on the car from the time I left it there and I picked it up.When I asked the man in front about this, He shrugged and replied "I don't know".
When I got home, I noticed they attached my front bumper with a peice of steel brace, The bolts were gone. A pair of vice grips were still clamped on the brace to hold it in place. My light wires were not attached, I had to do that myself.
I can't believe my insurance paid for such crappy workmanship.
I didn't have money for a lawyer, or I would have sued them.
