We were new to the Phoenix area and I purchased a $95 Groupon to use Jen Morais of Photojenic Images for our annual Christmas card photo. I was very excited because her website pictures were beautiful. After I purchased the Groupon, I tried to call her, text her, email her, and even Facebook message her for 3-4 weeks before I was finally able to get a response - all the time as it is getting closer to the holidays and harder to book another photographer. She finally responded with a time and a place via email. From the time I bought the Groupon to the time we booked the shoot was almost a month. In that time I never was able to get her to return a live phone call. The park she wanted to meet us at was 1.5 hours away from my home. Because I was so anxious to get the pictures done, I went against my gut which was telling me this woman was very unprofessional and unreliable. My husband and I left our jobs early and picked up our 9-year old son at school to fight Friday afternoon traffic and get to the shoot on time. We waited for over an hour at the park. You can imagine how frustrating that was, especially for a child. Jen never responded to numerous phone calls, never bothered to call me to say she wasn't coming, and never bothered to even call me the next day to make up some excuse. I called Groupon and got my money back. Thank goodness I had booked her through Groupon and had recourse. I have since noticed she has many other negative reviews doing basically the same thing to other people, as well as two Better Business Bureau complaints. Needless to say, she lost a potential lifelong customer.
