This is my second report. Ibought a cable box/dvr from jam, only 2/3 of it worked. They said it would work on Comcast cable, wrong. Three service techs here in Salem and one area supervisor said no way. They promised support on set up, did not happen. Returned it. They still owe me money. Look up complainst against jam of colorado. I did. 18,400,000 listings, some might be repeats.
I am a cable TV subscriber to Comcast, and looking for ways to decrease my monthly bill. JAM Enterprise, states that, consumers can eliminate the monthly Digital Cable Box rental fees, by buying a Digital Cable Box from them. Comcast will allow me to install a cable card in the cable box, but they will not register the box to the Comcast network. I can receive
partial cable, but cannot receive two-way communication with the Comcast network, meaning:
1. Cannot receive On-Demand
2. Cannot use any Comcast service that requires two-way communications
3. Comcast still charges a monthly fee for the cable outlet
A Comcast Installer also told me,that in the next few months, all Digital Cable boxes will be obsolete, as
Comcast upgrades the network. This will require new Comcast leased devices on the network. I want to return my cable box for a full refund, but JAM will not return my calls, or emails.
I purchased two comcast cable boxes from jay on october 17. like everyone else, i was looking to reduce my cost of watching tv and thought this would be a great way to do it.
i was told by jay when i purchased them that i needed to contact him when they were received so that he could walk me through the setup of the receivers.
i received the boxes on october 27 and phoned jay - got is voicemail and left my work and home numbers to be called so that we could do the setup. i also followed up with an email.
it is now going on two weeks and after several voicemails and emails sent still no response from jay.
i feel very fortunate that i did not "bite" at the offer of a 20% discount if i paid by check so i at least have the protection of my credit card company. i just do not want any other consumer to be tricked by this scam.
Allow me to begin by telling you that Digital TV Express, aka: inphome.com, Info Net Products, inphome.com, http://www.support2009.com are scammers, liars and thieves!!!
My initial contact with this company was on 9/28/2011. I spoke with a Scum Bag who identified himself as JD. JD stated that these cable converters are plug and play converters that will receive all cable programming, as soon as they are connected. He stated that he was running a special of two television converters, for the price of one. I fell for his gimmick and I paid him by electronic check due to him stating that they do not accept credit cards - the web site states that credit cards are accepted!!! One converter , NOT TWO, showed up about a week later and the first thing I noticed after pulling it out of the box, was that it looked like it just came out of a trash dumpster - It was used, had a cracked display, scratches on every surface, extremely dirty, poor paint, torn labels, and overall in extremely poor condition. Needless to say, this piece of junk did not work!
I have proof that only one, not two, converters were shipped and can be verified by the shipping weight. I checked with my cable service provider and was advised that this cable converter was useless and could not be programmed to work with their cable system. This converter came with a return shipping label , which seemed a little strange - I guess they were expecting for it to be returned. Could this be because they were counting on me using the shipping label and they could charge me the same $60.00 they charged other customers for shipping? On 10/14/11, I finally spoke to someone who identified himself as Andy whos voice sounded a lot like the guy who identified himself as JD. I advised him that the converter did not work, it is in terrible condition and the fact that I did not receive the second converter. He advised me that he would immediately ship two replacement units and e-mail me a tracking number that same day. He said I could return the defective unit when it was convenient for me to, but no big hurry. Being that I only had 15 days to return the unit for a full refund, I immediately packed and paid for the return shipment of the converter. I made many calls and left many messages - the two times the phone was actually answered, I left a message with a female who identified herself as Nicole. Nicole promised I would get a returned phone call. All other phone calls were answered by a answering machine and I did leave a message every time. I still have not received my refund and have my doubts if I will see one after reading how they ripped off so many people. I encourage everyone who has fallen victims to these Scum Bags, to file a complaint with all of the following agencies:

If all victims do the same, we can put this scum bag out of business, once and for all and possibly put him in jail where he belongs. I intend to contact all major shippers to advise them of this fraudulent company. If these shippers continue shipping these units for a known fraudulent company, the shipping companies may also be held partially liable for damages if they are aware they are shipping / assisting in the fraudulent acts. I am willing to join all other victims in a Class Action Law Suit against JD and his company and I encourage everyone else to join suit.
If you have already given them your hard earned money, document all conversations and your attempts to contact them, include all calls that they do not return (dates, times & details). Immediately return the junk converter that they send you and make sure to pay for the shipping and get a tracking number to verify they received it. Demand a full refund and plan on having to file a complaint with all the agencies listed above.

JEFF DAVIS, owner of JAM ENTERPRISES lived in Yuma, AZ and sold cable boxes that did not work using the names: INPHOME, INFO CABLE and DIGITAL CABLE TODAY. There are 132 posted complaints. Staying one step ahead of the shotgun he moved to Colorado. He now sells cable boxes that do not work using the names of digital tv express, free to air, finally free tv and just about saving money. These companies have posted complaints on the BBB in Denver, scam sites, complaint sites and ripoff sites(like this one) that ad an additional 241 posted complaints for a total of over 370 posted complaints. The most recent on the BBB was last week 8/5.
All the complaints indicated NON WORKING BOX, NO answers to email or phone calls, when the box is returned NO REFUNDS.

When to our bank, proved FRAUD and the transaction was reversed. All monies returned including shipping and handling. Money was taken from JAM aka Jeff Davis' account without written authorization. His bank agreed it was FRAUD. He has made four(4) attempts in past 13 months to get money back. With the last attempt two(2) weeks ago on July 26 2013. If you wish to see a copy of his email to Huntington Bank, crying and begging for his money just ask me [email protected]. By the way they told him to pound salt!
On JAM websites phases used: FCC and cable company approved, cable ready, plug and play. Nothing can be further from the truth. The boxes are "JUNK" sold by the cable companies that are totally disabled and still have the FCC lables on the bottom.
