JP Maroney sells himself as a guru in many fields. Just google his name and after you scroll past all the rip-off reports and scam websites he's linked to, you will see that he sells himself as an author/coach/business mentor/digital marketer/team builder, etc., etc.... But one thing you will find out rather quickly is that he is no guru in any field, other than thieving.
I 'worked together' with JP about 2 years ago, promoting his event called the "JV Summit". Our organization recommended his seminar to our client base and sold a number of tickets under a JV partnership agreement with JP. Shortly after the event JP would not respond to my emails and phone calls, but when he finally did; he claimed that he had problems with his business and that the banks were shutting down his merchant account and that PayPal had frozen his funds and that he thought he would be going out of business soon but promised over and over that he would still pay. He claimed that he was not a con artist and would pay what he owed. A quick google search will show you that he did not “go out of business”. He is still very much "in business" scamming people. I contacted him many times over the next years, most of which was ignored. However, needless to say our organization still has not been paid.
I tried contacting him over Facebook, but he blocked me and changed his FB page to not allow "non friends" to comment on his posts. That indicates a sad paranoid life, always hiding. I then tried commenting on his public "JP Maroney" Facebook fan page, he turned off the comments feature, so you cannot comment on his posts, or post to his page. Wow! It's sickening that his marketing organization has to "hide" behind 'out of state addresses' instead of his real address and turn off comments from his own clients, out of an attempt to silence the many unhappy voices. In our experience, when you give your clients a venue to complain, you can then listen to their grievances and make changes that help your organization excel. I guess JP is not interested in "doing better" he is used to making money the only way he knows how: by scamming people and organizations.
Our hope for any affiliate centric organization or potential JV partner is to not get ripped off by this sleaze "JP Maroney". Hopefully any other organizations out there that is thinking about Joint Venturing with his one pop shop are saved the cost, aggravation, employee man hours and "blow to image" by NOT associating with this less then credible "JP" Maroney comic book character.
