I went to J's auto repair on 10/25/2013 because my car died on the highway and my car's gas gauge would not identify if it had gas in the tank (even though it was full.) Juan took a look at the car and ran a check on my codes because the check engine light was coming on. He determined there were multiple codes coming up but the reason the car was dying and not reading gas is because I needed a new fuel pump. I expressed my hesitation to pay for a whole new fuel pump and he assured me that was the reason my car was giving me these types of problems. I paid 480$ to replace my fuel pump (with an after market part).
When i recieved my car back it was running and the fuel levels were reading correctly. But the face of my gas tank was broken and would not allow me to place a gas pump inside to put gas in my car. Whoever worked on my car and lowered my gas tank to replace the pump broke or misplaced the part that is connected to the face of the gas tank. The reason I know this is because i took my car to another automotive repair shop and had my car looked at. I took my car back to Juan's and he replaced the "filler tube" which costs an additional 100 dollars.
This was the beggining of all the problems. From November 11/2013 to April 1/2014 I had to take my car back to juans on three seperate occasions to replace the fuel pump because my car continued to died and fuel levels still not reading. Rather than actually admitting he had mis diagnoised my car originally he blamed the part and agree to replace it because it was under warranty. I dont know how three seperate parts on three seperate occassions can ALL be falty parts. On June 30, 2014 my car died out again and because I was three hours away in New Braunfels, Texas I had my car towed to the closest dealer and he informed me that not only was the fuel pump not working but the tank was not placed back in correctly and the filler tube was broken. I had to pay 545$ to re-replace my fuel pump because I was over three hours away from Cypress, Texas with a car that would not start. J's auto replaced my car's fuel pump on three seperate occasions only to still have a broken fuel pump. I am out over 550$ having gone to J's auto to have a car in worse shape than it was before they serviced it. I have been trying to get in contact with Juan and everytime I call someone tells me "he's busy" "hes not taking calls" or he is "out test driving". This place is a complete rip off! Obviously Juan didnt replace my fuel pump the three times he "said" he did.
