It Works offered a "black Friday special" in 2014. I ordered and paid $241 for 8 boxes of "ultimate body applicators". I SHOULD have known that buying one box and getting one free was going to be a rip off .... there was A REASON they were giving this $%# away! When I got them in December, I tried one. It was pretty dried up but I thought MAYBE if I just sprayed my body with "toner" (as I've been told by It Works representatives) that is would work anyway. SO, I sprayed myself and tried to make it like gel again. It didn't work well - tried a different box. No dice. SOOO, I contacted my representative who said she could check on the batch for me if I gave her the lot number. I gave it to her and found that all the boxes were from the same batch. She didn't get right back to me but when I finally called her and asked her what she found out - she said I should definitely call them as it must have been a bad batch. Now, I called them. They wouldn't honor anything. I wrote a message through the back office, got rejected. When I wanted to go public about the bad policy (apparently if you don't return your things within 60 days - there is no credit, no exchange and certainly NO returning!!) I was told to try them again - well, just called to TRY to talk to someone ELSE - someone who COULD do something. I was told the company policy was ABSOLUTELY NO - UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will they honor anything past 60 days old. "Supposedly" the shelf life of their product is a year - that is what they "sell" with their product. "Supposedly" that is why you should buy directly from the manufacturer and not off Amazon or Ebay etc "to be sure of freshness and shelflife and storage conditions. YET I can assure you I took all the "right" steps, stored properly, tried their "tricks" for bringing them to life - make them work and they were dried up from the start - got worse over time, certainly and because I didn't send them back withing 60 days (I had no idea I had that kind of time frame - that is NOT shared publicly nor written upon reciept) - you get nothing but crappy product and loss of money. They had a sale to move product they KNEW was going bad and had no intention of bringing themselves honor - just cash.
My wife had a subscription . She attpted to cancel and got billed 8 days later for next month's product. Ok. Suck it up. Guess what? Billed the following month, too. This company regularly ignores patrons attempts to cease transactions. She should have issued a charge back, but she si nonconfrontational. But the truth is this is happening to many people. Let's be honest... Saran wrap would be just as effective. It is a s**t product hyped by an inflated marketing economy. There are no ethics at any level of distribution after manufacturing. I don't know how anyone involved sleeps at night.
I signed up as an ItWorks loyal Customer last year. After 6 consecutive months of autoshipped products, you are supposed to receive a bonus of 50 Perks Points, which would equal about $50 worth of product. I skipped a month here and there at the beginning because I didn't need anything, but last month (June 2015) would have been my 6th consecutive month and earned me the Perks Points.
For the first time ever, my credit card was declined for a transaction. I had been using the same card from the beginning of my time with ItWorks and never had an issue, and had several hundred dollars of available credit. There is no reason the card should have been declined. Furthermore, I never received an email from ItWorks stating that there was an issue with my payment, although I typically receive multiple emails letting me know before the order is processed and after the transaction is complete.
The timing is all to suspicious. The one transaction that would have led me to earning $50 was silently declined, and now that it is July, I am unable to place an order that would count as the 6th month. I have cancelled future autoships with this company and will no longer use or endorse its products. I will not do business with a company that thinks it can cheat its "Loyal Customers."
I bought the body wraps from itworks because my friend became a distributor and I wanted to support her. I wasnt thinking , I dont believe in miracle weight loss products. Signed up as a loyal customer because the products are discounted. I got the wraps and tried them following all the instructions. I got a red rash all over and didnt see any results from them. Also didnt feel well the next day.
I unfortunately cant get back my money even though the wrap caused an allergic reaction. Im stuck paying a 50 dollar fee for cancelling my loyal membership before ordering 2 more shipments of this junk, or getting more shipments of stuff I will be afraid to use.
Save your money and think before you buy from this company. If you are sensitive to anything on your skin beware of these products. They Will Not refund you your money if you react badly to them.
I began using the defining gel in February, and by March it had so severely exacerbated my skin condition that I stopped use of all products immediately. I have before and after images. I don't believe there is science behind these products or that they are safe, and I hope that they are not alowed to continue being marketed as if they are safe and effective.
I use to be an employee for this company and have seen alot of stuff happen there call centers are in olean ny,jamestown ny, and burnseville minnisota. it works uses a company called the connection to handle all there calls. you can tell were it is by the first letter of the lastname they use. if it starts with o its out of olean j it out of jamestown. so I figured Id let you guys know that your information isnt safe. the company has had a bunch of people arrested for stealing your social security numbers and credit card numbers. I have also seen first hand the disrespect that happens towards the customers by both the managers of the company and the people that answer the phones and to give you guys a little secret to close your account without paying the member fee always push to go to a supervisor. 9 times out of 10 they will waive all fees for you. the normal call rep cannot do anything about it and you can always get free product but doing the lost order claim form saying the product never got to your house.
it works and the connection center are so mean to there emplyees. a guy collapsed and died at one of the locations because he wanted to go to the hospital and they threatened to fire him. im gonna post a picture in a min and over the drawing of the house you can read part of the guide the reps have to go by for product credit. it shows you they do not value there customers security and they allow there employees to goof off all the time. I have sent this to the company and the person emailed me a response pretty much not caring.
