Used iPayment for business merchant services when processing credit cards. All of a sudden charges of $100 or more started appearing on my statements. I was told this was due to PCI non-compliance so I cancelled my account. Several months later fees appeared on my bank statement again. When I called to inquire, I was told that my account had not been closed and I needed to resubmit the cancelation form, which I did. Account was successfully closed on Jul 1, 2013. On Dec 31, 2013 my account was debited $99 for Annual Membership fees even though the account was closed. I am told that the fee is charged at the end of the year for the previous year and was due because I was a "member" for part of the year. Why should I need to pay a membership fee on top of all the other fees for merchant services? I would go to my bank and request a charge back but it turns out my bank, Wells Fargo, owns iPayment. No honor amongst thieves.
