A few years ago, I received a complimentary CD from IMP in the "Classic Composers" series. After a short time, I found their internet address and signed up to receive the collection.
They sent me the introductory package with a list of composers included in the set (they did NEGLECT to mention that some of the composers had several CDs in the collection). Anyway, I kept on receiving and paying for the shipments despite the fact that they raised the price by nearly $3.00 per shipment shortly after I joined.
I continued to pay for the shipments until I had a total of 54 CDs at which time IMP told me, "congratulations, you have only 9 more CDs to complete your collection. Shortly after this, the company sent me a glossy brochure saying the series was being discontinued and if I wanted to complete it, I would have to purchase all the remaining CDs in one shipment for a total of about $170.00. Not having the money, I neglected to return the form and tried to continue with my single shipments at 3 week intervals.
When I didn't get any CDs for about 6 weeks, I called the company and was told the warehouse had no more and I would NOT be able to complete the collection.
I feel that they should not have even allowed me to sign up for this item if they didn't have enough CDs for me to purchase all of them so now I am stuck with an incomplete set of CDs.
