I canceled my program with Intellibiz, Intellibiz-Bill Vaughn Real Estate program. I emiled to the only contact I had under the name of Intellibiz before my 30 days where up to refund my monies and end my subscription. They told me that they would end the subscription and not pull any monies out of my account. This email conversation took place all on 8/20/2014. I emailed and they responed on 8/20/2014. After this (I still have the emails with dates), Intellibiz pulled $89.95 out of my account on 8/20/2014. The very day I canceled this program. They are in violation of my Rights to cancel before my 30 days where up! Not only that, but what should have been pulled if I had stayed with them each month was under $50.00 per month. They owe me my monies of $89.00 for the cancellation of this program and should be charged for fraud for the dollar amount quoted to me.
I did go to my bank and cancel my card so they could not pull any more money out.
This individual claims, erroneously, that we charged him $89.95 AFTER he cancelled, which is not even possible. The $89.95 was for the cost of the actual MATERIALS he ordered and received (and still has). When he requested to cancel his ongoing membership, his membership was cancelled that same date. But in no event would he NOT be charged for the materials ordered.
I can not believe this! I ordered this non-refundable package thinking it would help me start my real estate business. What a disappointment it was. Initally it cost $89.95 for something that was useless. Then I was charged $49.00 ( will continue every month) because for $1.00 I joined an elite group that was supposed to give you additional tutoring. Why would I need additional tuturing if the program didn't work in the first place?
The advertizing to get you hooked implied that Bill Vaughn was the "Number One" approved person for this kind of information. (Not true)
I sent an email to the company requesting a cancellation for the monthly charge of $49.00 and this morning I received a reply stating that the $49.00 was not refundable, but they did at least cancel the future payments. (I was about to cancel the credit care I used.) The email stated that I was told SIX times what was involved with the extra $1.00 I paid and I should have read it....I read everything.
Please, people, do not spend your money on this priogram. Intellibiz should be put out of business. How do they sleep at night.
V.I.P. membership is optional - a customer must actually request it, which this person did. Our website does make clear numerous times as to the monthly dues for club membership. In addition, it is REQUIRED to read and accept the terms prior to ordering, and those terms also include that information up front. Furthermore, our program is only useless if you do not use it, and this person has made it clear he did not use it. We have thousands of letters and emails from clients who, having used the program have made a lot of money.
Some people expect everything to come to them without expending any energy, and when it doesn't, they blame anyone but themselves. Sad but true.
August 9, 2014 I too cancelled my order & requested a refund within hours of placing my order after I Googled Intellibiz & saw that there were many complaints on "Scam/Rip-Off type" websites and was told I would receive a refund. I never received a refund. Plus they are charging my credit card $49 per month. I even lodged a "Dispute" with my credit card bank and even my bank refused to reverse the charges and sent me copies of the "Supposed Online Agreement with Intellibiz" that says "The only way to stop the charges is to email them at [email protected] with CANCEL in the subject line and full name in the message area & "That NO OTHER form of cancellation is acceptable, and member must keep an unaltered copy of the SENT email proving cancellation, in the event of a dispute. Upon receipt of such cancellation notice, nothing further will be charged. Participant understands and accepts that there will be NO refund on any charge already posted and completed. Participant also understands that in the event their card is declined for payment, V.I.P. Club membership will be terminated and all services forfeited."
I am going to contact my credit card bank again & tell them about all of the "Scam Reports" there are online & hope that they will reverse ALL of the Intellibiz charges based on the fact that this is a SCAM. Credit Card Users are suppose to be protected from fraud & scams. If that doesn't work, then the only other thing I know to do is to cancel my credit card & eat the losses, but people like us that are clearly taken advantage of shouldn't have to eat losses from scam artists, if indeed they are. For my legal protection, I am not saying that Intellibiz is a SCAM, just that when there are so many scam reports & complaints online about a company, I don't want to spend my time and hard earned money to find out. I was told I could get a refund within the first 30 days & stop any further charges upon cancellation. I requested a refund & cancellation within just a few hours & am still being charges 5 months later (today is 1-13-15). So please beware & read all of the fine print before you sign up for & buy into anything online.
First, the purchase is for a download. Downloads cannot be returned nor retrieved, so obviously a customer cannot simply cancel and get a refund. He still has the materials.
As for the monthly dues, customer CHOSE the V.I.P. Club option. He was also required to read and accept the terms which included all the info necessary. However, in his "complaint" he is editing and mixing up different sections of the terms to confuse you. The terms clearly state that to cancel the customer need only send an email to cancel. And yes, we do require they keep a copy of their cancel request in case there is a dispute, as they would then want to provide proof that they cancelled - that is for their protection. At no point do we require the customer to prove they sent a cancel request. This person is being misleading.
The fact that he issued a dispute with his own bank, and his bank stood with us and refused his chargeback goes to show he was in the wrong.
It is unfortunate that some people, upon being required to accept a company's terms, claim to have read them but in reality did not. That appears to be the case with the few complaints people post. We have sold over 320,000 copies, and the number of "complaints" number less than a dozen, and our rating at the Better Business Bureau is A+.
This is in response to the complaints about IntelliBiz and "The Simple Man's Guide to Real Estate" on this site. We tried posting responses to each, but the site apparently does not accept more than one response, and they post that same response to all three complaints. So, the need for this.
1) IntelliBiz only charges a recurring fee IF and WHEN a customer VOLUNTARILY joins our V.I.P. Club. Benefits, services, cancel instructions etc. are provided in five separate disclosures. The customer is REQUIRED to read and accept the terms & conditions before they can even join.
2) In EVERY instance where a customer cancels, we cancel the membership the same day
3) It is true that cancelling must be done via email. The reason is clearly explained in the terms - we are strictly internet-based, to keep cost down so we can provide our materials & training at such a low cost. Being internet based, we do not have a "bricks & mortar" building, and hence no bank of company operators for calls. And it is just as easy to send a one-word email as it is to telephone, anyway.
4) The individual who claimed no refund was issued is being less than forthright. The material purchased is in the form of an immediate download. Because a download cannot be returned or removed from their device, it is non-refundable, and that is stated CLEARLY throughout our site - including on te order4 page, itself. If you have ever purchased software from a company, and attempt to return it OPENED, you know there is no refund - only replacement for defective software.Any software company that issues refunds on opened or downloaded software will be bankrupt as soon as the public learns they can put the program on their computer, keep it and use it, and still get refunded.
Our program is worth MANY times what we charge, and at less than $100 is far superior to most others that cost $5,000-$60,000. Our program WORKS, as shown in the certified court records and checks posted on our site, submitted by our customers. We have literally hundreds of letters each year from clients who make money using our program - many posted on our site.
The reason we charge so little is simple - we operate as a non-profit. No one here gets paid any salary. Our mentors - all professional investors - are also unpaid volunteers, exercising the tenets of their faith to "give back" to the community.
We have trained over 316,000 people in 19 countries, so we expect a handful of people to complain. But their complaints say more about them than they do about us. We have been training people for 31 years - if we were really a "scam", we would not still be allowed to operate - the FTC would have shut us down LONG ago, as they did to the "gurus" who were running scams.
