I inadvertantly got a virus on my lap top a while back, and called in to "Integrated Technology Associates" and spoke with an older man on the phone who kept interrupting me telling my sick computer's symptoms. I'm not spry either and sometimes have to have people repeat themselves too, but this was just plain rude. He talked over me and such. But finally I agreed to bring my computer in to them the next day, a Saturday, which was wonderful because I called in on a Friday night late. "Gerry" was there Saturday when I arrived and scribbled notes down about my computer and tried to fix them but said that the other technicians would have to look at it Monday and that I would get a senior citizen discount for being over 65 and that it should only take about an hour to do because it was a "low level virus". He had to move boxes and other junk out of the way for me to sit in a chair. UNPROFESSIONAL WORK AREA ALERT ! ! !
Monday came and went with no word back on my lap top. Tuesday the same. Finally I called Wednesday and got "Gerry" again on the phone and he put me on hold to go "find out the status of the lap top" but didn't get any information. He said that the technician working on it was out on a service call and would call me back as soon as they came back in. When I got a call late that afternoon I was told that the lap top was done and that I could come pick it up. So I came in about 4:45 and got my unit.
When I arrived I was helped, and I use that term loosely, by "Brad". I asked him what I thought to be good questions about my lap top but the questions seemed bothersome to him like I was taking up his time to go home. He showed me a hand written list of programs he removed WITH OUT MY PERMISSION and said they were possible viruses including games I had purchased from Office Max and Wal Mart ! ! ! He then told me that it was an hour and a half of labor and did NOT give me the discount or keep with in the quoted time from "Gerry" the previous Saturday ! ! ! "Gerry" was conveniently not in the office. All the while during "Brad"'s help of me, I heard another man in an office cursing loudly and on my wait out saw the cursing man at his desk. I'm not sure of his name but he had a large beard.
This was the most unprofessional work place setting I have ever brought equipment to be worked on at ! ! ! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ! ! ! NOT EVEN FOR YOUR ENEMIES ! ! !
