This is a scam and there are many other companies like it. They get you in the door by saying it is a sales job. They want you to get people to switch phone and internet service to AT&T. You have a script of what to say. They do not pay for 10 hour days of training and that is ILLEGAL! No breaks. Trainer worked me to the bone, kept telling me to hurry up, no water, no bathroom breaks just marching from door to door all day. Got yelled and screamed at by people. You DO NOT work for AT&T people will ask to see a badge or business card and the salespeople do not have anything to identify themselves with. It was bogus from beginning to end. No idea how anyone stays at this company for more than a day. Once you get past the training (which can take many weeks, none of which you are getting paid for) You can either make minimum wage or work on "commissions" both of which are bulls* and will land you making about $200/week working 50 hours.
Where do I even begin with this place. What a joke! They a revolving door all day long! People come in to interview and then quit because of this company. I worked for "One Chicago" which is ultimately Infinite he just pretends like he has is own business but really knows NOTHING about what he's doing. He runs these daily meetings and talks about the dumbest stuff and then sends everyone out to go sell like he just pumped up the whole world. He thinks he's cool but he's a huge douchebag. Everyone makes fun of him that works for him and all the guys do is talk behind is back about how he can't run his "company" and to make it even worse he doesn't even do it! His GIRLFRIEND who is one of the two secretary's they have runs everything for him and I mean everything. He doesn't know how to do anything and then he talks crap about her!! I mean it's weird he's banging the secretary but like dude we don't need to hear about how you've cheated on her and how crazy she is. Like she's a fellow coworker. He's a joke. You'll spend more time at this office than you will at home. Maybe if Juan wasn't so full of himself he would see his company is a joke. He treats people like crap. He doesn't listen when you try to talk to him he's just like yeah yeah yeah and walks away. You can never address anything with him. He doesn't know how to listen or teach. He just yells at you if you screw up rather than show you how to fix it. He always guilts you why you don't hang out with him. It's like get a life and stop pressuring people to be your friend. There's another manager there Shaun who's never there always on vaca or something so Juan pretends to be as cool like he's better but it's obvious he's not. I heard he had these assistant managers that both quit in one week after being only a week away from becoming a manager! Obviously something wrong with this "management" if that happens. Find something else that has less drama! Or jus work for the real infinite those guys always look cool and happy. Whatever you do just don't pick One Chicago. I wish I got the choice.
Advice for managment: get rid of nimrods like Juan. Hire someone who will represent your company with respect and profession.
You're selling At&T uverse internet to people who will cuss you out cause At&t's service sucks - plus people call them from the Philippines all day. You'll be told to lie and tell them it's ""routine maintenance to get them a new modem. "" When people cancel the modem install they'll TAKE THE MONEY BACK OUT OF YOUR CHECK LATER sooooo if you made 400 that week you might end up with $160. They are rapidly running out of current customers so soon all you'll be doing is trying to convince people with Comcast to switch to At&T. You'll be a door to door, cold lead, b2b salesperson spending your own money to make none. If you don't want the full commission - you can do a $300 (before taxes) base and get 30% of your actual money made. 30% of $80...you do the math... They will tell you you'll get giftcards for meeting office goals then when the goals are met they'll tell you that you didn't contribute enough to recieve one.
You'll drive 150 miles a day. Go to morning and evening meetings in ANY (and I do mean ANYYYYY) weather.
This company is so cheap and crappy that if you go on a business trip you'll sleep in the bed with other coworkers cause the don't want to pay for 2 rooms for 4 people. Yes I said sleep with your coworkers. If you complain, they'll laugh it off and tell you it's bonding. They will also not reimburse you for gas or food cause thats what your taxes are for.
Beware: they'll claim you'll make average 500-1000 a week in the entry level but...you won't. You'll spend at least $150 of your own money per week. You make NO ADDITIONAL money when you get ""promoted"" to a ""leader"" and you'll languish there trying to build the required team of like 10 people under you when people typically quit within 3 weeks. I counted 15 that left in the 3 mos I was there.
You will not own your own office and the people who stick around a year and do move for an office end up doing residential, new sales. The starter team in Cleveland had 4 people quit within 2 mos and they left Chicago for that job!!!!
Steer clear of this place. It will ruin you financially.
