I ordered a specific hard drive based on their web site's statement that it was available. The drive is a replacement for a RAID array of 4 drives, one of which had failed. My documentation for this set-up states that all 4 drives must be identical. If their web site had clearly stated that they reserve the right to substitute a different drive for the one ordered, I would have gone elsewhere.
Their order acceptance statement hidden on their site says the following:
""we will ship a product that has the functionality and performance of the Product ordered, but changes between what is shipped and what is described in a specification sheet or catalog are possible.""
My argument is that a 250GB PATA drive is not functionally equivalent to a 200GB SATA drive.
The drive sent was worth 1/3 the drive that I ordered,, and they refused to refund shipping when they were the ones who made the error.
Googling ""Impact Computers Reviews"" would show how badly they treat their customers.
