Hudforeclosure.com makes a "special" $1 offer to look at a listing on their site. What they do not disclose anywhere visibile on their site is that the $1. charge on your credit card becomes 49.60 after twenty one days if you do not notify them that you do not intend to be a yearly subscriber.
That charge continues monthly indefinitely till you notify them you have no intention of paying for their "service". That part of the DEAL is hidden in the terms of use contract which is visible at the very bottom of their web page in greyed out 6pt type. No where on their site main page do they mention that the $1 offer is tied to a huge 49 times increase.
It is hidden in the fifth paragraph of theterms and conditions button that accompanies almost any page you visit now on the web. This company knows that hardly anyone reads these before cliking thru because they are chock full of legalese and almost never relevant to the site user.
This tactic may not be illegal but it is immoral, and depending upon state statute, fraudulent. I am going to pursue this with the Illinois State Attorney General.
I checked the website of hudclosed.com for information about house to buy. I was asked to registered and I did because the charge was $ 1. But today June 20th, 2014, at 6:06pm I received an alert from my bank of overdrawn of -$48.50 by hudclosed.com. I looked at this as a total fraudulent activities that really put me on emotional breakdown.
It is hard, ridiculous and heartbreaking putting me at risk of paying $32.00 for overdrawn because of hudclosed.com deducting $48.50 for no reason, no services were rendered. No contact with them, and no contract with them apart from join with a $1.
I knew nothing about this outrageous fees. No useful information on their website. This really makes me sick and totally perplexed. Please help me fight this injustice and safe me from debts.
