The building of my unit in greenwood place was having the roof replaced. there was severe damage to the beams and more due to leaking through the roof. when roofers were working over my unit the ceiling and wall was chipping due to the extreme force they were using and caused nail pops to come out all over the second floor of my unit which seperated part of the ceiling and wall. once i came home the day this was happening i brought it to the roofers attention and they took full responsibility of this. we contacted Mr. Howe, the owner of Howe Realestate and he was going to come out and take a look at the issue. instead of coming out, he sent the previous maintenance contractor over to take a look at it. that man no longer works for the company. but the maintenance man explained to Mr. Howe what was going on and that the roofers had damaged the inside of my unit as well. we also brought it to the attention of Deanna which was the go-to person for any issues any buildings or tenants were having. she looked at pictures and got a brief understanding of what was going on and also determined that it was the associations responsibility to fix the issue and repair any damage. some time went by and i kept calling to see what the status was and when i could get these issues resolved and i kept getting the runaround from the association. a new maintenance man started by the name of Marty who came and fixed some of the problem but the problem came back. so in other words it was only a temporary fix which is not good. it has been over a year since this issue had happened and i am still yet to see any results. today i get an email stating that the interior of the home is not the associations responsibility and it is my responsibility to fix it even though it is the exterior walls of the building that are falling apart. now that i have waited and waited and tried to get them out to fix this the problems have increased. the cracks along the outer walls have cracked into the first floor of my townhome and it looks like the builing is going to split into two pieces. but now that it got this bad the association of howe property management is not willing to fix it. i bought this townhome over ten years ago and have had nothing but problems that i have to fix this or that which i have fixed or replaced everything even though they werent neccessary fixes. i pay my dues every month and for ten years have also told the association to fix the tarp that they have underneath woodchips outside of the homes. they keep refusing to acknowledge that and it looks ridiculous. they are quick to say that they will slap a fine on the homeowners if they dont fix the problems they notice but when it comes time to put our association fee money to good use they act like they are no longer in business, Howe Property Management is just taking our hard earned money and not doing anything to hold up their part of the contract.
