Howard Johnson Hotel on Federal Bvld in Denver CO is THE most dispicable hotel I have ever stayed in. I travel every other month for my job and have never seen a hotel charge this much (72.00 per night) and be so filthy and nasty. Wosrt still, when we asked to change rooms, the mangagement was very ho-hum about the whole incident, said there were no more rooms available (only say 6 other people the whole time we were there and acted like we were expecting too much. The rrom was filthy (dead bugs in the sink and tub, torn up carpet, stained linens, etc...) the drapes were shredded and would not close, the walls were stained and had chunks of the plaster missing and the television had a chip out of the screen. This hotel is on Federal Blvd, which is not a bad part of town, but not Hilton material either. They did offer a free breakfast which consisted of waffles and fruit (which they were out of) and had no butter or syrup for the waffles. I had to use Hershey's syrup if I wanted any sweetness at all. If you are going to offer waffles, have the butter / magarine and syrup for your paying guests. I at least expected a clean room and a decnet breakfast for $72.00 per night. Do NOT stay here.
I did attempt to discuss this with management at the time of the stay AND afterwards... a ""we don't care attitude"" at the hotel and no reponse from my email to Howard johnson's. It's a shame they don't care anymore, they were once a great hotel chain.
