Moody Gardens and they put me in a crack motel I call them before I even did anything else and they tell me I have to pay for a whole nother room and they wouldn't refund my money
.phone for an hour arguing with them they asked me where I get my reviews I live in this town I know that's a bad motel and hotel and w***** and drug dealers hang out there I'm not takin kids there.
I have been fighting with them since September!! I booked and PAID for a flight cut and pasted what I thought were my confirmation and baggage info to print out at my office the next day. Only to find that when I clicked the link the next day it said that the deal was no longer available! I wish it stopped there. I had to spend another 2 hours online booking another flight. I did not hear a word from them until the day AFTER I had returned from my trip saying I had canceled my flight!!!!! with them. I spoke with several people, they tried to push me off to the airlines- no I didn't buy the ticket from the airline I bought it from you. They then told me to fax my story all to deaf ears- I was told to write to the corporate office I did and their ""decision "" was still no I had to pay for these tickets!!!!!!!!! even though the link said the deal was no longer available! Amazing that you can take my credit card info and send a link that says no longer available and then insist that I pay for the tickets ! I even had American Express step in - times 3!!! and they couldn't get anywhere! Currently AmEx is charging me interest!!! and my perfect payment history is ruined because Il refuse to pay for these airline tickets, when I read ""this deal is no longer available I actually understand that the deal is no longer available! Most people with money to burn would have cut their aggravation factor and just paid for the tickets. I unfortunately don't have that luxury and now am taking to social media. Please help I would be happy to supply all of the paper work.
I called Hotwire a month in advance of my reservation stating my concerns about the Hotrate hotel we received - the Wyndam Gardens in San Diego by Seaworld. The other hotels side by side to the Wyndam were average caliber such as Sheratons and Doubletrees - making the lottery pick of the Hotrate seem reasonable. After receiving the Wyndam, we noticed it was rated considerably lower on simlar sites (such as Priceline, Yelp, Orbitz) and appeared to have fixed 4 and 5 star reviews on the hotwire site which inflated the star rating and ultimately allowed us to end up with this unexcusable farce of a hotel. We even offered to pay more to upgrade and asked if possible could we switch our reservations to another Wyndam property - one rated considerably better. Despite well over an hour of conversation, the best Hotwire had to say was if my stay was indeed unsanitary or unclean in any way they could look into refunds. After staying I can personally confirm that the negative reviews are true - I cannot speak for the positives. This is by far the biggest scam I have ever been a part of. The hotel wasn't even a hotel. It was clearly a MOTEL and was completely unsafe, unsanitary, and unprofessional. I cannot believe we actually stayed here for a night - my girlfriend got bedbugs, the carpet was stained with blood, the bed was filthy and appeared to have urine stains on the bedspread, toilet cracked, mold on the windows, a rusty towel rack, disgusting pillows, revolting food stained couch, expired elevator permits with faulty operations, unprofessional service and more. I have pictures of all of this to prove it.
The Wyndam's management was no help - we got the choice of two rooms one being mine on the 3rd floor or a just as bad first floor option located in an unsafe neighborhood. Every neighbor we could speak to said their experiences were similar and every time we stepped foot in the lobby someone was complaining to management. How this motel ""hotel"" is still in business is probably 100% from Hotwire's participation in this scheme. We paid 3 star prices for a 2 star hotel - one we were told we had to stay in and as a result we ended up being forced to stay elsewhere -- in an extremely expensive hotel while paying for the bullshit hotwire room I was given. That's right. Not only did my family have to deal with bedbugs and our unhappy time on vacation, but we also paid for two rooms instead of one. What a deal. We did attempt to call Hotwire while on vacation but no longer could find a line where we could get through to any real person and without Internet access, we opted to try to resolve this with Hotwire when we returned from what was left of our trip. Hotwire responded to our complaint by sending us a $25 gift certificate - an insult to the $400 we spent on the room. They claimed this is as much as they could do for us as the trip was already complete. Watch out for this crook of company. They give false hope to travelers and do not care about customer satisfaction whatsoever, even when your health is on the line.
Hotwire has claimed the saving from £990 to £374.88. However, it wasn't the case as I contact the ""hotel"" directly the claim that my date is charge €130 per night, which is £100 a night, therefore the saving was an incorrect tools to attract customer to purchase their products.
They also said the product is a hotel, however it was an apartment.
Also they given me an standard apartment which means the lowest of the product class and I explained to their customer service representative, she agreed that their valuation of the value of the product is needed to be investigated, but she said she can't help me further.
Just checked into a hotel in Los Angeles that Hotwire billed as a four star. What a total joke. We were told we were getting a four star, non-smoking room with free wifi. Instead we got a room the size of a shoebox that wreaks of smoke, wifi which will only allow you to check your email but worst of all a room that is literally on the freeway. Even with the patio door closed and locked, the noise is unbearable and the hotel has no other rooms.
I called Hotwire and they told me that the only thing that they could do was offer us earplugs!!! Really? A four star hotel offers us ear plugs so that we can sleep through the freeway noise? To bill this hotel and this experience as a four-star one is nothing more than fraud!!! I will make sure to report Hotwire to every organization starting with the Better Business Bureau so that no one else has to deal with this experience!!! Never will I ever again give Hotwire one penny of my business. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Confirmed car rental reservation and took full payment to Alamo than refused to rent to me at counter. Made reservation with Hotwire and paid $42,20 in advance for confirmed reservation. When I arrived at Birmingham airport and went to Alamo car rental counter I was refused a rental. I was told I am on the do not rent list. I've never heard or this or know why I am on the list. Alamo would not tell me why I am on this list or give me any contact to call. I was stranded and had no car rental. I called Hotwire and they said sorry nothing they would do. Please help me prevent this from happening again or to others.
I book a hotel with hotwire and was told on the site that I would be receiving a 67% discount of the hotel which was regular price $129.00 per night hotels like the Holiday Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Sheraton, Radisson...what a joke that is no way what I got.
I got a hotel that was not really a hotel at all it was more like for truck drivers. It was not a quality hotel it was a mess. I call to hotwire to complain to them in hopes they would get me out of this hotel because I was just scammed...not way did they help me. The lady started talking to me like a two year old not like professional traveler.
To put it simply they did nothing for me at all!! the rip me off and showed me the door.
DO NOT BOOK FROM HOTWIRE...they will rip you off the hotels are in no way worth the price to do it blindly...the quality of the hotels have changed the level of customer service you received have change just not worth it. I will not book with them again.
