First I'll admit my own faults, I am a debtor, Hosto sued me a year or so ago and I still failed to make payments as I was unemployed. I've since found gainful employment, and without warning my bank account was frozen and seized.
I immediately contacted Hosto and spoke with Erin in accounts resolution(may not be spelled correctly). Not only was she ditsy and aloof throughout the conversation, she was totally uprepared and could offer little to no information about the garnishment. I found out far more by speaking with a manager at my bank than I did with this damn company's staff. Anyways, I set up a payment plan with Erina and made my first payment as agreed.
I, admittedly, did miss my next payment, my dad had a heart attack. I knew I was behind and last Friday(03/28/14) my next payment was due again and I was prepared to get it all caught up. That's when my bank manager called me early that morning to tell me once again my account had been garnished, every last cent.
I once again called account resolutions and spoke with an agent(I wanna say tony or david). He was condescending and told me that Erin had tried to call me on March 11, and that there was nothing he could do to assist me any further.
Well, I opened up my cell phone call history and followed up with every number I didn't recognize that had called me. Nope, never called. I even logged into the website and Erin had misspelled my email address. Since then I've called over a dozen times trying to get in touch with anyone who can help me. I've been transferred to voicemails EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've left voicemails with cell # and email address requesting contact and no one has done so.
This company's prerogative is very clear, offer just enough assistance to stay legal and utilize every angle to take the debt forcefully. Terrible customer service, staff is highly uneducated in regards to garnishment/collection process. Highly negligent in regards to following up with debtors who are trying to resolve debt issues. They need to be taken to task for bullying debtors like myself.
